Planning your wedding and looking for someone who’ll capture it exactly as it feels? I’m Nicola, the face behind Red Peacock Photography, and I’ve been photographing weddings for over 12 years. I’m based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, but I travel wherever your love story takes me.
My style is light, natural and documentary-led — all about genuine moments, real laughter, happy tears and all the little in-between bits you might not even realise are happening. No stiff posing, no awkward moments, just beautiful, honest storytelling that reflects you and your day.
I’m known for being calm, friendly and quietly in control — helping your day run smoothly while blending in like an extra guest with a camera. I’ll guide you when you need it, hype you up when you’re feeling nervous, and step back when the magic is unfolding naturally.
Before the wedding, we’ll chat properly — getting to know each other, talking through your plans, and making sure everything feels relaxed and well thought out, so you can enjoy your day knowing you’re in safe hands.
A seamless, stress-free experience from start to finish, with a mix of gently guided portraits and natural, candid moments. I work efficiently (so you’re not away from your guests for ages) while capturing all the romance, fun and emotion that makes your wedding yours.
Every image is edited with care in my signature light and natural style, giving you a gallery of timeless photographs you’ll love for years to come.

Do your wedding your way. Try not to feel pressure from other people. You want your day to feel like you.
A pre recorded video message from brother to sister in the speeches.
Email or phone conversation. Then a meeting at my studio to get to know what my couples are looking for. Then once they have booked making myself available for any queries they may have up until the time of the wedding. I send my couples a shot list and timeline 8 weeks before the day to plan the day for it to run smoothly.
The confetti moment is one of my favourites! Its fun, colourful and is the perfect thing to do after the ceremony to lead into your drinks reception.
I was once asked to photoshop a dinosaur into a couples photos! Sadly it really wasn't my vibe, so I managed to convince them to look at other ideas!
Make the most of it because the weather is the one thing you cannot control!
