What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
One of the most overlooked – but most important – parts of wedding planning is timing your day around natural light. Whether it’s dreamy golden-hour portraits, soft ceremony lighting, or avoiding harsh midday shadows, working with your photographer to plan when and where photos happen can make a huge difference.
Give yourself little pockets of time to step away, breathe, and enjoy the moment – not just for the pictures, but for you.
After all, the best photos come when you're relaxed, happy, and fully present.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourite personal touches I’ve seen at a wedding was a handwritten letter exchange between the couple, read aloud during the ceremony. Instead of the usual vows, they shared deeply personal notes with one another — a beautiful moment that was intimate, emotional, and so unique to them.
It reminded everyone that weddings are not just about the celebration, but about the bond two people share. It’s a small gesture that made a huge impact, and I was lucky enough to capture it.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to keep things simple, relaxed, and enjoyable — just the way your wedding should be. I’m very down to earth and love to have a laugh, so the first thing I do is invite you to my studio for a friendly chat. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, talk through your ideas, and browse my beautiful albums and walls full of past weddings.
Most of the planning process is handled online to keep things easy and stress-free. You’ll have full control over your package, timeline, and preferences, with me guiding you every step of the way. I’m always just a message or call away if you need advice or reassurance.
On the big day, think of me as the extra bridesmaid you didn’t need to buy a dress for. I’ll be there capturing every moment while making sure you feel comfortable, supported, and actually enjoy yourselves. From fixing dresses to calming nerves, I’m more than just your photographer – I’m part of your day.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
It’s the one where you pause, just the two of you — away from the guests, the timeline, the noise — and soak it all in.
That moment right after you’ve said “I do,” when it’s finally real and you're both glowing with pure, unscripted happiness. Whether it’s a walk through golden fields, a quiet glance under the trees, or a big laugh as you escape to breathe — that’s the photo. The one that captures you, together, in the middle of it all.
It’s not posed. It’s not forced. It’s yours.
And years from now, it’ll take you right back to how it felt.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The bride and groom... in the back of an ambulance.
True story.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too serious — but it made for one of the most unexpected (and oddly romantic!) shots of the day. Just goes to show, no matter what happens, there’s always a story to tell — and I’ll be there to capture it.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A “who cares” attitude, one of my trusty umbrellas, and a good pair of wellies.
Rain doesn’t ruin a wedding — it just adds a different kind of magic (and some epic photo opportunities). Embrace it, have fun with it, and trust me to make the most of whatever the weather throws at us. Some of my favourite shots have happened in the rain!
Describe how you got into photography.
Photography runs in my veins. With a Great Grandad, Grandad, and Dad all picking up a camera at different points in their lives, it’s safe to say it’s in the blood somewhere.
But it wasn’t until a friend asked me to photograph their wedding that it really clicked for me. What started as a one-off gig quickly spiralled into a full-blown passion. Now, I get to do something I love every single day — and honestly, I haven’t worked a day since.
