A wedding in the heart of the Northumberland National Park. I will never forget it. The views are to die for, the most amazing couple and the photo opportunities were just endless. I feel very lucky!
Candid, relaxed, traditional, portrait, natural
To be able to do something I absolutely love and give it my all. It beats a 9-5 office job.
Book well in advance. Photography/venue/bands/videography especially. We get booked so far in advance that I would hate you to miss out. Don't just look at prices, equally the style is just as important and talk to the photographer before hand.
Happy tear tissues! There is so many to be honest.
Communication is key and that is why I recommend email/phone contact and I also do a face to face meeting upon booking free of charge so we can meet each other and discuss your plans and expectations. Regular contact right up until the day, also happy to meet at the venue in advance also. Contract is also given to give you assurance and peace of mind. A questionnaire is also handed out to you to get information of your day such as scheduling, specific photo requests etc
Couple portraits after the ceremony. Couples often get overwhelmed on the day which is perfectly understandable and sometimes they don't always leave enough time for certain images. I recommend doing the full group shot first, specific images with close family and friends (I recommend around 10) and then leave about 45-1hr for the couple images, especially whilst its light outside. Other images can be taken in between the day such as between meals etc. I also recommend bridal prep as its a very unique moment to have some lovely images taken with your close bridal party and family and this allows the natural feelings to be captured, the nerves, the excitement as well as some lovely close up images of the details such as the dress, rings, flowers etc.
The father of the brides first look at his daughter in her dress. Usually taken during bridal prep. I love this image. Can't beat the happy tears. :)
I will have a plan B in place for rainy days. Indoor photos can be arranged or some nice and creative images in the rain if the couple are up for it such as the 'umbrella shot'.
I've had an interest in photography from a young age. Friends always told me I had a 'good eye' for photography. A few years ago after getting a nice bonus from work, I treated myself to my first DSLR camera and I've never looked back since. I started off doing landscape images then I had the opprtunity to shadow a fellow wedding photographer as weddings and I got the bug. I decided to start my own business and have been doing it ever since and I absolutely love it.
