Every wedding I photograph holds a special place in my heart—each one unique, personal, and unforgettable.
Authentic, Emotive, Unobtrusive, Dynamic, Storytelling
I’m most proud of my ability to capture the authentic essence of each couple’s love story in a way that feels natural, timeless, and deeply personal. Over the years, I have worked with various couples from different backgrounds and age groups, bringing a unique perspective to each wedding.
My No.1 tip for couples planning their wedding is to prioritise what matters most to you and stay true to that vision. Weddings can be overwhelming with endless decisions, but focusing on what truly reflects your relationship and values will guide you through the process and keep things meaningful.
Identify the key elements: Is it the atmosphere, the guests, the food, or the experience you want to create?
Budget wisely: Spend on what aligns with your priorities, and don't feel pressured to splurge on trends that don’t resonate with you.
Trust your vendors: Choose the right people (like a photographer, for example) whose work you trust and vibe with, and let them do their thing.
Everything else will fall into place when you stay focused on what’s truly important to both of you.
One of my favourite personal touches I've seen at a wedding is when couples create a memory table with photos of loved ones who couldn’t be there.
I see how newlyweds take a moment to video call their loved ones who couldn't attend, sharing the excitement and emotions in real time. It’s a heartfelt way to include distant family and friends, making them feel part of the celebration despite the distance. Moments like these truly highlight the importance of connection and love beyond physical presence.
Here’s how I typically work with couples:
Initial Consultation:
We start with a conversation about their vision for the wedding. I get a sense of the style, vibe, and key moments they want captured.
We discuss logistics like the timeline, the venue, and any specific details they want me to focus on.
I also share my portfolio, answering any questions they may have about my approach to photography.
Pre-Wedding Meeting or Call:
I usually meet or have a call with the couple to finalise all the details. This includes a more in-depth review of the schedule and any specific shots or traditions they want captured.
I ensure I understand the dynamics of the wedding party and any family nuances, which helps during the day.
On the Wedding Day:
I arrive early to capture the venue and any pre-ceremony moments. I aim to blend in and capture candid, natural moments as the day unfolds.
I focus on the big milestones (vows, first kiss, etc.), as well as the smaller, intimate moments (a quiet glance, family laughter).
I stay flexible, adjusting to any changes in the timeline or mood, ensuring I don’t miss anything important.
Post-Wedding:
After the wedding, I begin editing the images to highlight the best moments and the couple’s personal story.
I typically provide a sneak peek within a few days and the full gallery within a few weeks (usually 4 weeks), making sure the couple has beautiful, high-quality images to relive their special day.
Throughout the process, I’m always open to feedback and adjust to their needs to ensure they get exactly what they envisioned. My goal is to capture their unique love story in a way that feels authentic and timeless.
The No.1 photo I think every couple should take is the first moment they see each other on the wedding day. This is often the most emotional and intimate moment of the entire day.
Whether it's a first look before the ceremony or the moment the bride walks down the aisle, it’s raw and full of emotion.
This shot captures their reactions—whether it’s a tear, a smile, or a moment of pure awe.
It’s not just about the couple but the energy, the anticipation, and the love that fills the air.
This photo becomes a timeless memory of the excitement and joy of stepping into a new chapter together.
Okay, picture this: a wedding with 200 guests—yes, two-zero-zero—and the couple absolutely insists on a single group photo. My first thought? ‘Where do I even put everyone?!’ Luckily, the venue had this sprawling open field next to it, so I herded the crowd like a very polite sheepdog. But here’s the kicker—the groom goes, ‘We want it EPIC. Like, aerial epic.’
So I’m scanning the scene, sweating a little, and I blurt out, ‘Anybody got a ladder?!’ Turns out, the venue had one stashed in a shed. Next thing I know, I’m climbing this rickety ladder, 10 feet up, leaning back like I’m in Mission Impossible, shouting, ‘Smile like you mean it!’ while secretly praying the wind doesn’t turn me into a human pancake.
The shot? Chef’s kiss. Got everyone in the frame, the sunset glowing behind them—pure magic. And hey, if I had taken a tumble? My premium insurance would’ve covered it. (Priorities, right? 😂) The couple still calls it their ‘Where’s Waldo?’ photo because half their cousins photobombed with silly faces. Best. Chaos. Ever."
Photography Tips
Embrace the rain for creative and unique shots. Capture reflections, raindrops on windows, or couples under umbrellas.
Use natural light whenever possible, especially indoors, to maintain a soft, flattering effect.
Post-ceremony group photos under covered areas can add a dramatic effect with the rain in the background.
My love for photography began when I was 10 years old. In 2000, my mum bought me a simple camera as a gift - back then we didn’t have the phones we do today - so we used what was available. I started capturing moments with my schoolmates and was fascinated by how a single photo could hold so many memories. I actually still have the photos from my school time. Over the years, I never stopped taking photos. In 2013, I got my first semi-professional camera, a Nikon D3500. I was quite happy with it. I began photographing London’s cityscapes, along with special moments for friends and family. Seeing how much people cherished my work, I realised photography wasn’t just a hobby - it was my way of helping others to preserve their most treasured memories.
