Rachel did several shoots with us around our wedding: a pre & post shoot as well as taking hundreds of photos on our big day. We love all of them, she’s captured so many brilliant moments both of us and our guests.
Rachel is really nice to work with. Though we’re both camera shy, she was able to make us feel at ease every time. She helped keep us both looking natural and smiling even when it was a dreich Scottish day, or too early and bitterly cold. Come rain or shine, she was game: for our pre-shoot, it was pouring down, it felt like the wettest day of the year. Rachel asked us whether we wanted to reschedule but we decided to brave the elements. We had tons of fun and the photos are stunning.
On the big day itself she worked alongside her friend Anna (Anna Moffat photography) to capture all the moments that we really wanted to see from our wedding. Sometimes it’s just not possible for a photographer to be in 2 places at once so this was done at our request. She was very efficient, we barely noticed her as she captured all the “unplanned” parts of the wedding and we have fantastic candid shots as a result. She kept her cool during our group photos, our guests had managed to get quite tipsy, it was a bit of a herding cats situation.
Rachel was quick to reply to emails and very helpful, especially with the million questions we had before, during and after the wedding. Rachel also worked really well with our videographer (whom she had never worked with before) and they were even able to bounce ideas off each other.
The results are simply incredibly gorgeous, natural photos with fantastic lighting. The toughest part for us remains: choosing which of these stunning photos to include in our wedding album. Rachel’s photography from all the parts of our wedding is simply stunning, for that we can not thank her enough!
