What about your business are you most proud of?
We have been documenting weddings since 2014, which in the wedding industry is an achievement in itself. During that time we have won numerous awards for our work. The thing we are most proud of though is the amount of couples that recommend us to their family and friends.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Prioritise what matters most to you as a couple and ignore outside noise.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of our couples left handwritten thank you notes at every place setting. Each note was personal. Some were funny, others emotional. It showed care and deep appreciation. Everyone felt seen and valued. We thought it was beautiful!
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
When couples are lucky enough to have their grandparents with them on their wedding day we love it when they take a minute out to be photographed with them.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A couple who wanted a celebration shot in the middle of a wildflower field. They ran barefoot through the flowers, popped champagne, and danced in the golden sunset. It was natural, wild, and truly unique.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Rain doesn’t ruin a wedding it adds magic. Embrace the atmosphere. Moody skies, soft light, and fresh surroundings can make your photos even more beautiful. Go with the flow, laugh through the drizzle, and trust your team. Often, the best memories come from the unexpected.
Describe how you got into photography.
From an early age we both loved photography but became more serious about photography when we had our first child. We quickly discovered that weddings gave us the opportunity to be portrait photographers, landscape photographers and photo journalists all in the one day.
