we clicked with Paul instantly

Having met a number of wedding photographers, we clicked with Paul instantly. He is very easy to get on with and made us feel very comfortable, we knew he would get the best out of us (and our friends and family) on our big day. Furthermore, his technical know-how gave us confidence that he would perfectly capture every moment of our important day - we were not disappointed. Thoroughly recommend, many thanks

What a helpful man!

Paul is very approachable and, easy to get on with. For our day, Paul made some brilliant suggestions for photographs-poses and locations. What a helpful man! The wee three-year-old girl, in our Wedding Party, was very taken with Paul and, in turn, he really made the time to talk to her. Rob and I were so pleased with our photographs when we saw them. There would be no hesitation in us recommending Paul, as your Wedding photographer.

Fantastic Photographer!

We have the most beautiful wedding photos which we are both over the moon with. Paul was absolutely fantastic in every way. Took lots of photos both specific and natural and made everyone feel comfortable. Most the time we didn’t even know he was there which I always believe is a sign of a fantastic photographer. We have recently received our image disk which is presented beautifully and we now have the hard job of picking a certain amount of photos for our photo book. The quality and service received from Paul was exceptional and we would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best memories of their special day.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I once covered a wedding at Dundas Castle in Scotland over a 3 day period. The sheer size of the venue was absolutely astonishing. I had so many ideas for photos I really wanted to stay longer so I could capture them all!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Vibrant, romantic, timeless, natural, creative

What about your business are you most proud of?

15 years of trading!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Need advice? Ask a photographer. Photographers are one of the ONLY wedding suppliers who are with you throughout the entire day. They see everything (and hear most things!). If you want an honest opinion or advice about a venue/caterer/DJ etc they are the people to ask.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Party bags full of silly props were given to each table after the dessert was served. The room went from casual chatter to absolute party mode in 10 seconds flat! The room was filled with screaming balloons, party poppers, fake mustaches, and oversized sunglasses, funny hats, and silly masks. The atmosphere changed to party mode in an instant and everyone was laughing.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Ideally, I like to find out about who they are, what their likes are, what they do together, how they met. It all builds an image of who they are not just as individuals but how they work together. I can then use this information when it comes to posing and trying to get expressions. It also allows me to realise little details on the day that would otherwise be missed and incorporate them into the photography.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Party Shot. End of the night/directly after the First Dance when all hit the dance floor. Surrounded by friends and family, in each other's arms, having a whale of a time!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I was once asked to capture a Bride and Groom sitting on a bench from behind looking at the Milky Way start trails above their head. After much planning, it was achieved by driving halfway up a mountain at 1:00 am in the morning.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

A good attitude. Rain happens. Period. It can rain in the middle of December or right in the middle of your group shots in August. It does not have to ruin your day or your photos! What does determine what will ruin your day and your photos is your attitude towards it. Get out there, get a bit wet and enjoy yourself!

Describe how you got into photography.

Graduated from University in 2004 with a dream of working in the film industry. And as most realise when they leave University there are not an awful lot of job prospects in creative industries, especially in 2004! The first job interview I went for was a Trainee Portrait Photographer at international renowned high street portrait company. The rest is history.
