What is your most memorable wedding?
Grease Lightning Flash Mob! Nobody was expecting such a wedding entrance: the dancing, loud singing, leather jackets and guitars... it was even kept as a surprise for me!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Warm Natural Romanic Euphoric Timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
After over 10 years experience of working with a camera, I have made a successful business in the space of 1 year! As well as, being a Primary School Teacher, I must be crackers!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Whether booking me or any other wedding supplier, please book your dream wedding team in advance to avoid disappointment!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Parents of the bride made a bow for her dress out her first baby grow when she was born! It was such a lovely touch, very emotional.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once you have made your wedding enquiry and picked your package, I like to do an introductory video or phone call for us to meet, get to know each other and see if I am the photographer for you! If I have been lucky enough to be a part of your wedding, I then send all of the details across to secure your date.
Once your date has been secured, I like to discuss when you would like your pre wedding shoot (if your package includes one!) but also share that I am always here throughout the lead up to your wedding as a friendly face; to hear your weddings plans, offer advice and get excited with you!
Once it gets to 1-2 month before the wedding I send a Wedding Questionnaire for you to include the finalised wedding itinerary, key pictures you would like captured and any other details that you would like me to be aware of. After receiving this document, we will plan a final wedding consultation to go through the questionnaire together so I know exactly what I am doing on your day. This prevents me from interrupting you on your wedding day but simply blending in with your guests to capture and document your wedding.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The confetti shot is a must, the more confetti the better!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Molly and Ash always eat at their local chip shop every Friday, it was one of their first dates! So we scheduled in some time to have a picture outside on the bench they sat at many moons ago- I've never seen a couple so giggly and giddy!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Suitable shoes and umbrellas. The most important thing is to embrace it, do not worry about the suit and/or dress, some of my best pictures of a couple is when they have mucked about in the rain and just had fun!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always been a lover for taking a good picture. I always used old DSLRs and Polaroid cameras when out and about.
One day, I was asked by my lovely friends to take some woodland pictures of my god son. Once I had finished the shoot and editing, I realised how much I enjoyed it- more than before! I shared the pictures with my friends and they shared how much they loved the pictures and this shouldn't just be a hobby.
So bit the bullet. As I wanted to pursue wedding photography, I got in touch with photographers, built my portfolio, made the business accounts and the rest is history!
