Photography by Zoe Nickola Full Description
I'm a firm believer in prompts over poses as this way your images feel much more natural and i'm certain you will enjoy having them taken more this way too. This approach to portraits, coupled with capturing events as they happen means that I photograph your day as it naturally unfolds, capturing real moments whist creating a visual story of your day for you to enjoy for years to come. Connecting with the day and the people involved is really important in creating beautiful images. When people are comfortable, they show their true selves, and nothing looks better on camera than natural emotion. This is why I like to blend in with guests for the majority of the day and help out where I can to ensure that your day to runs smoothly. I've folded pocket squares, pinned bridesmaids dresses, carried veils, attached button holes, shed a tear at some speeches and danced at receptions (you get the best shots when you join in!). So, if you've made it this far, you think we will be a good fit and you would love to work together, get in touch and we'll chat all about your plans!

Zoe photographed our wedding and I cannot recommend her enough! From our initial contact right through to getting our final photos, she has been absolutely amazing. So professional, helpful, listened to everything we liked and really put us at ease on the day. The photos are absolutely incredible. Thank you so much Zoe x

Zoe is an absolute pleasure to work alongside, I honestly couldn't speak more highly of her. Zoe second shot for me at a summer wedding where the client wanted full coverage of both bridal and grooms prep. She was so professional, put the customers at ease and her shots were absolutely stunning! Anyone thinking of booking Zoe for their own wedding or as a second shooter know you are in the most capable hands. You are in for a treat and won't be disappointed!

Zoe is amazing! I hired her to take photographs for us at a wedding fayre, and she provided such a beautiful selection of quality images very quickly after the event. She was incredible on the day too - very friendly and easy to work with. Would highly recommend!

A Spanish / British fusion wedding with 2 ceremonies, singing waiters and a super busy dance floor!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, documentary, creative, bright and colourful.

My dedication to education. I never stop learning, wether it's workshops,. courses, styled shoots or even YouTube! I believe you can never stop learning and can always improve. sop year on year I continue my education as well as building my experience.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do things your way, it's your day that's all about the both of you. Enjoy it, make it personal make it YOU.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Table numbers that corresponded to the couples ages at that time, with photos of both of them at that age, eg 'when we were two' with photos of each of them as a two year old.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Enquiry, sample gallery viewing (its so important you see a FULL wedding day), Zoom call / in person meeting, contract signed, check ins throughout the planning stage, questionionairrle and final meeting a month before the wedding. Then on to the big day!. Sneak peaks in 48 hours followed by full gallery delivery a few weeks later. flooded by album design if you've also chosen to print.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The classic shot (although I work prompted not posed I do think this one is important) a photo of the two of you, looking towards the camera, the shot that gets framed by your family, displayed on fireplaces and its timeless.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Groom prep drinks as they started the day in the hot tub!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Clear umbrellas (which I take to every wedding just in case!) and a willingness to embrace the weather.

Describe how you got into photography.

I picked up a camera while I was studying fashion at collage, I had to photograph a dress I had made for the red carpet with a friend as the model for my final project. And I was instantly hooked, I loved the settings, how things looked so different depending on lighting and how you could capture some amazing moments. I retracted my application to study equine science at the same collage and applied for a photography degree, and the rest is history!
