What about your business are you most proud of?
Creating unique images that my couple want to display on the walls of their home.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I often hear couples say they are not fussed about having too many photos on the day. This all changes, when you are in your dress, with your hair and make-up done, in a beautiful location and feeling a million dollars. Make the most of your day and make photography that you will treasure forever.
Book your photographer early and choose carefully.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Too many to list, each wedding is different and memorable in its own way. I love to get to know my couples well before the wedding so that on the day we are as comfortable as friends in each other's company. This makes for beautiful images and a memorable day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It all starts with a hello. After that initial enquiry I like to meet, preferably in person but over zoom or by phone works too.
I always meet the couples I work with at least once before the wedding day to ensure the day goes smoothly and you're happy in front of the camera.
This pre-wedding photo shoot at your venue a month before your wedding day, gives us time to look at locations and practice the photos we want to get on the day, chat through the finalised timeline over coffee and get you comfortable in front of the camera.
It doesn't end after the ceremony, I will guide you through the process of album planning and choosing which art work you want to display.
I hope to make friendships that last a lifetime with the couples I shoot
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The first look is popular at the moment and is always an emotional moment. The moment the father or mother of the bride sees their daughter, ready to be married for the first time is a very powerful moment.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellies, an umbrella and a sense of adventure. The rain can really make for a great shot.
