What about your business are you most proud of?
I am really proud of my process. Each and every of my client gives a review on how unique the client experience is and they love it!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always get an engagement photoshoot! An engagement shoot is a chance for us to capture some really beautiful, candid photos of you and your partner in a relaxed environment. Just the two of you, being you. Plus, if you're a little camera-shy, it's the perfect opportunity for you to practice being comfortable in front of the camera, in the lead-up to your wedding day.
Either way, I promise that we'll have a lot of fun while we're at it.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Enquiry:
Once you’ve filled out my contact form and enquired about your wedding photography, I’ll be in touch to plan a Discovery Call with you.
This call happens either face to face, via a video chat, or a phone call, whatever your preference. The aim is to find out everything you want and what you’re looking for in your perfect wedding photographer. I love to hear about your wedding plans and get a sense of your excitement and joy. While we’re talking, I can guide you in the direction of which of my packages would suit you best, as well as getting to know the two of you better.
Proposal:
After we’ve met, I’ll send you a proposal covering all the details we discussed during the Discovery Call. I’ll explain the packages to you in detail. You’ll see precisely what you’ll get and how much it all costs, as well as how to go about booking with me if you like what you’re reading.
Booking:
When you’re ready to book, you just need to let me know! I’ll send over your contract and an invoice for your booking fee, and then we’ll be ready to begin our journey together towards the best day of your lives so far.
Engagement Shoot:
All my couples can expect a complimentary engagement shoot as part of your wedding photography package. It’s the perfect way for us to get to know each other before your big day. And, if you’re not used to having your photograph taken, consider it a practise session so you can learn what to expect when working with me. You’ll also receive some exquisite, professional portraits of the two of you, which you’ll be able to print, share and put up on your walls.
Timeline Planning:
In the lead up to your wedding day, I’ll be in touch to plan a timeline of the day with you. This ensures I’ll be there when you need me, and I’ll get all the photographs that are most important to you. Be reassured that you’re in excellent hands. I’m always happy to guide you through this process if you’re unsure or have questions.
The Wedding Day:
It’s your wedding day!
Because of all our planning before the day, you won’t need to worry about me at all. Just enjoy the moment, relax and laugh with your friends and family while I get to work capturing all the spectacular photographs of the day.
Online Gallery Delivery:
Our relationship doesn’t end there. There’s the small matter of you getting your photographs, of course! After your wedding, your photos will be professionally and impeccably edited by me to the highest standard and in my signature style. I’ll then be in touch to deliver your online gallery. The images will be there for you to view, share, download and make prints from. I also include a Photo Story – a slideshow of selected photographs from your day set to music. This is the perfect way to share a little bit of your day with people who couldn’t be there. You’ll also be able to order albums at this stage if you haven’t already ordered them when you booked.
...All this to say, you are what matter most in this whole experience. I aim to put you front and centre of everything I do when working with you. So, are you ready for the full experience?
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I always advise my couples to embrace the first look. The first look affords the couples to spend a few minutes together before the ceremony, I have found my couples tend to enjoy these few minutes before they get busy with the ceremony and guests.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I recommend couples to be brave and get in the rain for some beautiful creative photos. From experience, I have found wedding photos taken in the rain with an umbrella usually adds artistic and creative style to the weddings photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
On my wedding day, I remember the moment that my beautiful bride walked down the aisle towards me. I tried my best to keep my emotions under control, but I couldn’t do it. My wife jokes about how that’s the only time she’s seen me cry, other than when our daughter was born!
But I remember that moment perfectly. And it matters to me that you can recall moments like that on your wedding day too.
