This is going to be a bit of a cop out! But every wedding is different. Each wedding will be memorable for different reasons and I truly believe that yours will be no different!
Fun, Modern, Documentary, Stylish, Crazy
Trust. The fact that my clients trust me and are willing to place their faith in me to create memorable images for their wedding.
TALK! Talk to your suppliers, but don't stress out. Every wedding will have its challenges and if you feel that you're being overwhelmed, call one of your suppliers and ask them if they know a way to resolve that challenge. 99% of the time - we will have a solution for you. I honestly believe working with my clients (and their suppliers) brings out the best results.
I am BIG on family. I try to make sure I involve family in as much of the wedding as I can and then take pictures of it. I will even spend some time to talk to parents, the siblings, aunt/uncles and grandparents. You're inviting your loved ones to your special day, it would be remiss of me to not put them at ease while taking their pictures.
Once a couple agrees to book my services the process (in very high level) is:
Sign Contract
Pay deposit
Book prewedding shoot
Complete the prewedding shoot and send out gallery to couple
Couple pay remaining balance (1 month before Wedding)
Shoot the Prewedding events and then the Wedding
Edit the pictures and share on gallery.
Send out final items (post or collect in person)
But this is quite fluid and every client/wedding booking is different. But the key is that my clients must sign the contract and pay the deposit to confirm booking.
There isn't one. Every couple will have a different view on what is important to them. For some it is a beautiful couple portrait, for others a fun picture with their family. Its more important that I understand this in the lead up to your wedding so that I can ensure not that I deliver - but OVER deliver.
One of my clients has a father who was extremely unwell and unable to come to the wedding. I insisted that we spent time with the couple with the father at the care home where he resided. It didn't matter if this added an extra 1, 2 or 3 hours to the day - I knew that the photos we took in that time would mean more to the client than anything else I created for them.
Honestly? Be prepared to get wet! If it rains, it shouldn't stop your celebration. Look on it as an opportunity to create amazing pictures in the rain! Yes - we've all seen the back lit rain pictures, but what about something really intimate without any special lighting to capture you both hugging and with rain falling off your face/outfits etc? I know this won't be what everyone wants - but you're hiring me to create amazing pictures when everything seems to be going wrong. Thats WHY you hire me.
I love gadgets - so when I got married, I got really interested in the Photography side of the day. I then started taking pictures and learnt as much as I could. I am still learning now as I think that we are constantly driving to better ourselves.
