What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love it when the couple hire a wedding toastmaster - a good one will seamlessly organise your running-order, while entertaining guests and soothing the nerves of speech-makers!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My preference is to meet with the couple before their BIG day, to find out about each other - this helps both parties relax on the day & is a great chance to give a little advice and fine-tune the little details.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
That moment when the couple have just been pronounced as officially married - their smiles say it all!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The time two cosmonauts got hitched in a space station - out of this world! (not really ☺ every wedding is original, but can't pick a favourite).
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
The obvious answer is a stock of attractive/funky umbrellas, but otherwise, stake-out the wedding venue for suitable areas to take intimate/romantic photos of the couple only, and then bigger areas for the whole wedding party.
Describe how you got into photography.
I've always enjoyed having a camera around - but it was in a past-life, when touring with a band & meeting pro photographers with great insights, that made me want improve my skills and confidence.
