FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Shooting around the beautiful Norwich Cathedral close, but battling the English November weather. Some creative use of matching and very stylish umbrellas, meant that the bride and groom still had their idyllic setting for their images, and we all had great fun along the way. Remember, never rely on the English weather, and always be prepared!!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

natural, cinematic, rich, authentic, candid

What about your business are you most proud of?

The relationships I build, so that by getting to understand my clients, my images truly reflect the character of my clients.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure your photographer listens to you. Advice is great, but remember it's your day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A fitbit sewn into a bride's garter, so this keen runner could still count her steps on the wedding day :)

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We'll have an inital conversation to work out which package best suits their needs. Next I'll send them their contract and couples questionnaire, and once I've received that we'll have our planning meeting. Sometimes that meeting is at the venue, but other times the venue visit may come later. From the meeting, I draw up a timeline for photography on the day, so we all know how much time is being spent on photography at the different points of the day. This is shared with the couple, and is very much a working document and open to change if the couple wish. I'll make sure I have phone details of all key people, just in case anyone gets delayed on the day! I'll make sure I know the colour palette for the wedding as this affects the editing process. I'll keep in touch with the couple in the buid up to the wedding, and the day before I'll call for any last minute instructions, and to wish them all the best. I'm always early on the day, and always have supplies of tissues, wet wipes, pins ... you get the idea. I'll follow the timeline on the day, but also look out for the sponteous moments that everyone remebers. After the wedding, I'll post a sneek peak and then deliver the images via a private online gallery. If couples choose, they can also order prints, wall art and photobooks.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

It has to be the first kiss, and the moment when you look into each others for the first time as a married couple, absolutely beautiful.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Cute little bridesmaid and page boy wearing the bride and grooms shoes and staring cheekily into camera. Super fun was had while the married couple got to put their feet up.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Matching golf umbrellas for the happy couple ... I'm never without them! Wellies... make a feature of the weather, instead of letting it spoil you day. They're great fun and can add a splash of quirky colour (excuse the pun!).

Describe how you got into photography.

Photography is my way of showing people the way I see the world. I started off photographing family and friends, and I count myself blessed to now be able to do what I love as my full time profession.
