I built my business from nothing. I have no Photography education but I've followed my dream.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't rush to book first supplier you speak to. Meet them in person, get opinions, listen to your gut feeling. Never book supplier judging by the price byt their style, personality etc.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After an initial contact, usually via email, I will arrange face to face meeting to get to know one another. I don't book with every person that I meet. As much as I might not be the right fit for the client, as much they might not be right for my style. However I am easy going, bubbly and dedicated therefore I don't complain and get booked quickly ;) At the meeting we go though couple's expectations, my work, packages to find best one. I bring my sample albums and we, in general, chat, laugh and have nice time over coffee. If the couple is happy to book me, I prepare contact and invoice which are then emailed to my client. A deposit is required to secure the date. I keep in touch with all my clients via email till we meet to have Pre-wedding shoot and then until the wedding and after.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
One couple wanted to have photo in big bath in their suite. I was fun :) - no water was involved ;)
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it! if it's just a drizzle, I have beautiful white umbrellas which look great on photos. If it's heavy rain or very windy, we can take photos indoors. I check forecast beforehand and if it's needed, I take my studio lights. Alternatively, we can meet at later date on location to have outdoor shoot in wedding attire (available instead of Pre-wedding Shoot or with extra charge).
Describe how you got into photography.
I loved photography since I was very little. My mum loved it too but she would never allow me to take photos with her film camera. However I could use it with no film in it. So I would walk around our garden and "take photos" of butterflies, birds, flowers and all pretty things :) Years gone and I bought small bridge camera which I would take everywhere with me. Every spare time, day off I would spend on visiting National Trust places, cute towns, walk around and travel just to try new techniques and capture everything beautiful. This is how I see this world through my lens; colourful, bright and idyllic. World is not always this and often opposite, that's why I focus on it's beautiful side.
