What is your most memorable wedding?
There are so many for different reasons but it has to be when the Mother of the Bride forgot the marriage certificate, so we did the photos of the couple before the ceremony so someone had time to go and get it.

Plan your wedding for you, not what people expect.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Buttonholes on chairs for people who has passed away, such a lovely subtle sentiment.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Catch up with a cuppa on me at my studio, this can be before they even book. Then lots of planning, they can have as many meetings as they like. If I haven’t been to a venue before I like to visit before the day and also introduce myself to the venue team. Lots of communication is key to getting things right for everyone. I always arrive early on the day and never leave until I check with the couple they are happy and don’t need any more photos. It is then time for editing, with a 8-12 week turnaround to their final gallery. All album designing is then done with them after they have viewed their photographs.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Something that reflects their personality, not all photos need to be traditional.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Instead of drinking from opposite champagne glasses a couple wanted to take a bite of a biscuit from each other. Was super fun and meant something to them.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellies and big umbrellas! You can capture some amazing photos in the rain! I always have umbrellas in my car and lots of other things to stay as dry as possible.
This is also one of the reasons I do location checks just in case we need to do photos indoors.

I started in architecture photography when I was 9 years old, I was fascinated by shapes and colours. It became a passion from then.
