What is your most memorable wedding?
We did shoot a wedding at a funfair once, that was pretty memorable! We've been to all kinds of venues and shot so many different weddings. Each one has a little moment that sticks out, no matter how many years later.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Editorial, stylish, joyful, colourful, authentic
What about your business are you most proud of?
Building connections and friendships with couples over the years, meeting their kids and catching up at other weddings!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make a list and keep ticking it off, even if its a tiny chore - like ... buying napkins ... or finding the right colour of confetti. That momentum of working through your list will keep you going!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A basket of cosy blankets is a lovely touch for a winter wedding in Scotland, and always appreciated by the guests.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Most of what we do is candid, documentary-style photography. Which means we are in the background for lots of the day, shooting away when you don't even realise. When the time comes for photos of the two of you, we'll all go for a wee walk and keep chatting while we get the shots. Our goal is to capture that connection on camera, and we find that taking time out for a bit of a natter always helps!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
We love a confetti shot - it looks great and is such a moment of celebration.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A bride and groom on the waltzers, as they sped past and god knows how many mph!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A brolly and an open mind - its a rainy country and a brooding sky always looks good in photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
We've both always loved taking photos, we always had a camera in hand - even back in the days of film. We met at college learning how to take photos properly, and the rest is history.
