What is your most memorable wedding?
I am fortunate enough to have photographed hundreds of weddings over the last few years, however I can not honestly say that one wedding stands out as being most memorable. Surprisingly though, I am sure I can remember some details about each wedding I have photographed.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, Professional, Respectful, Calm, Perceptive
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Aim to meet your wedding photographer before booking him/her.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I hate the word "should" as it suggests a degree of unhelpful expectation and who needs that any time but especially on a wedding day. Rather than formulating a prescriptive list of shots, I encourage couples to share the feeling and mood they would like their photographs to convey. Sometimes this may also involve specific people and/or events on the wedding day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The most original photos I have been asked to take happen when couples cut through the wedding photography cliches, be themselves, avoid too much posing, immerse themselves in the moment and allow me to capture the authentic story of their special day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Stay calm and carry on.
Describe how you got into photography.
Decided to buy a film camera.
Took lots of photographs while travelling
Got a folio together.
Was accepted to study BA (Illustrative Photography) at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia
Completed course with Distinction and started my own photography business.
