Every wedding is a privilege to be able to capture, but I did enjoy a wedding I did in Gretna Green early this year, it was such a fun day. More recently a festival themed wedding was great fun. To be honest I enjoy them all.
Timeless, Storytelling, reportage, lifestyle, unobtrusive
My ability to document your special day in its entirety from the reportage shots, through to groups, portraits & details. Also my conscientious attitude and pre/post communication, along with my after sales service on prints and albums.
Dont get too tense and worried about planning to the last detail. You can't repeat the day so just enjoy it, everything else will fall into place.
A note from a loved one who had passed, pinned onto the brides dress.
After our initial contact usually by email, I will then call you to have a chat and fine out a little more about you and what you are looking for. From there we can either meet up face to face and go through things in a bit more detail, this gives me a chance to show you my work in person and in print. Approx 6 weeks before the wedding we'll set up a consultation to go through all the timings for the day, and any shot requests. Then its time to get really excited....its your big day!
I'm a sucker for a confetti shot, but really each couple and wedding is unique to them, so I prefer to let the day unfold naturally and work around this.
Its all about moments, a special glance, a touch of the hand, a secret moment between the couple. I do like my nobbly knees pic from a scottish wedding I did in Gretna though, it makes me chuckle. I am glad they stopped at the knees!
A lovely see though umbrella or white (which I happen to have) for those romantic shots outside, a sense of humor and flexibility, and looking for areas inside the venue that would lend itself to a nice composition. Additional lighting if required inside.
I started in Landscape photography and then branched out into doing events, commercial projects and weddings. I now concentrate mostly on the Wedding side of my business as I get great satisfaction and pride from the work and enjoy meeting the newly weds and their families.
