What is your most memorable wedding?
Each wedding is unique and fun. And I love them all. I get to work with the best couples.
I felt really lucky to be asked to photograph my friends weddings, they're twin sisters, who had a joint wedding in Hay-on-Wye. It was an honour to photograph their day, and what an incredible day it was!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
creative, colourful, stylish, relaxed, fun.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy the planning, to really trust your suppliers. And with photography you have to love the photographers work, but you also have to get along really well. You're with each other for a large portion of your day, so make sure you choose someone you also really like!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After getting an enquiry, I suggest meeting each couple for a consultation. I like to keep these relaxed and fairly informal. We meet over coffee (or a cheeky glass of wine!) I bring my albums for you to look through my previous work, and I get to hear all your wedding plans. I love talking weddings!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Confetti, hands down! Guests love to take part, even those that have avoided the camera all day. It's such a joyful moment, full of colour and full of fun.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
To keep smiling! Unfortunately this does happen, but you can have so much fun with it! Just enjoy your day, rain or shine.
Describe how you got into photography.
I got into photography when I was choosing my A Levels. I didn't quite know what subjects to choose, so copied one of my friends. I ended up falling in love with photography, and studied it as a degree. I then graduated with a First Class BA (hons). After graduating I assisted a few photographers, and thought I could offer something different. So here I am going solo!
