Documentary, beautiful, humorous, emotive, well-composed.
The style of pictures I take – un-posed, un-cheesy, natural, fun and beautifully composed.
When choosing a photographer ask yourself: Is there a range of emotions in the images – eg love, beauty, joy, pride, excitement and humour? Do the pictures make me smile? Are they natural? Are they well-composed? Do they tell a story? Are they different from most wedding images you see?
Couples contact me and we arrange to have an initial chat on FaceTime or Skype (or similar) to say hi and ask a few questions etc. It's the best way of finding out if I'm the best photographer for a couple.
There's no such thing as a No.1 photo every couple should take. Each couple is different and every image should tell a story of a wedding day.
I don't stage photos apart from groups and couples pictures, and even then they look natural and unstaged.
Forget about the rain. It's your wedding day and nothing else matters! :-)
I was the editor of a photography magazine and got to meet hundreds of world famous image-makers. This inspired me to start my own photography business.
