The wedding of Mike and Mandy photographed on the beach in Natal, South Africa
Emotive, spontaneous, creative, honest
The moment I see a couples face when I first show them their photographs and how much the photographs mean to them
Always keep to a tight schedule. There al lot of people working behind the scenes keeping events running smoothly. Any change in time has a chain effect all the way down.
Once the couple have decided that I am going to photograph their wedding I like to see them at the various locations of their wedding at the same time that the events are going to take place on the day . This gives me an opportunity to discuss locations for photographs and assess the lighting conditions. This also gives me an impromptu opportunity to do a few casual photographs of the couple as a taster of whats to come .
When the bride and groom are oblivious to the camera and there is a real moment between the two of them
With Robert and Hannah wedding, Hannah really wanted to incorporate her horse into the wedding shoot. While quite tricky on the day because you are always shooting under very tight time restraints, it was worth it as you can see in the results.
The weather is part of the day. when I photographed Mike and Mandy on the beach there was a howling wind . This enables me to capture some really fun shots with Mandy's dress and veil blowing in the wind
My entire family is a creative one . All of us work in a creative industry . My form of creative expression became my camera .
