What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't forget that you are planning one of the happiest days of your lives! Sometimes it can be quite stressful and complicated but don't forget to step back, have a coffee together and remember that your wedding will be the first day of your new life together.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet up with all my couples before their wedding as it is great to get to know each other and I can learn what makes them tick. I offer a free engagement session to all my couples as well so that they can experience how it feels to work with me so that they are the best prepared for their special day. Around a month before their date I send out a survey to collect a variety of information that will ensure I can help their day run as smoothly as possible and make the most of our time together. Lastly, a few days before their wedding I'll give them a quick call, or we can meet up for a coffee, and chat about the finer details of their day to ensure that we all know everything we need to know and are ready for the day!
After their big day I will post a sneak peek of their photos online that they can view and share to relive the excitement of their wedding! A couple of weeks later we will arrange a viewing session during which they can see all the images and choose their favourites for their wedding album and prints.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
There's always a plan B! Part of my planning process for every wedding is to discuss rainy day alternatives well in advance of the date so that we can make any necessary bookings. Then we will make a sunny day and rainy day plan a few days before the wedding so that on their day we have everything organised whether it rains or shines!
