Well the MOST memorable was my own, of course! But if we are just talking about work, then the one when the bride knocked out her husband would take some beating... if you'll excuse the pun!
Relaxed, intimate, innovative, distinctive and reliable.
The range and depth of clients I have. I have photographed over a thousand weddings, but unlike many wedding photographers, I do a lot of other stuff. My photos have been in space several times, and there aren't many that can say that. I can prove it if you don't believe me!
Less is more. Some people try to pack too much in, and they end up not being able to get the most from anything.
A bride releasing balloons for her recently deceased mother just before entering the church. She and her father had tears in their eyes, and to be honest, so did I.
The couple talk about their plans and I listen. I try to get a sense for what motivates them and what their characters are like. I tend to get a feel for them very quickly, and I can honestly say that I like my customers and they like me. Frankly, that is so important. Couples need to feel that their photographer is someone they would like with them on their day anyway. It makes them more relaxed, and that in turn leads to better, more natural photographs.
The two of them together, of course!! Everything else follows from that, and is shaped by their personalities, the location, their friends and the good old British weather (always assume its going to rain - then you can only be pleasantly surprised).
The bride wanted to make her husband look small, so I made him fit in her hand with no photoshop trickery at all!
Umbrellas - unless you like being wet!
It's a long story which involves Northern Italy, a coach, a beach, and some thieves. If you really want to know you'll have to ask me over coffee while we discuss your wedding!
