FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

They're all memorable for different reasons, my job involves shooting for wonderful people on the happiest day of their lives!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Professional, relaxed, candid, creative, natural

What about your business are you most proud of?

We've built this business from scratch after studying photography at uni aged 27 (I used to be a chef)! We are now one of the busiest photography businesses in the region, covering weddings all across North Yorkshire and the North East as well as shooting abroad on a number of occasions. The business has gone from a guy with a camera to supporting staff members and apprentices. We love what we do and we are very proud of our work.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't just focus on enjoying "the day." Try to enjoy the entire wedding experience, from meeting suppliers, planning your menu, organising outfits, the list goes on! I can guarantee you that the wedding day will go quickly. Make sure that you have the best possible time by leaving the finer details to industry experts

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I LOVE seeing old photographs at weddings! It's always lovely to see a couples journey, from when they first met, holidays, special moments in their life. It gives guests and suppliers a real insight into a couple

Describe your typical process with a couple.

It's pretty straight forward really, in the first instance I'll send you a brochure which gives details of packages. If you like what you see you can either book directly or we can make an appointment for you to come over to our studio for a coffee and a chat. If you decide to go ahead, we will meet again around 4 weeks before the wedding date to finalise plans.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Don't worry about it! Leave the photos to me, there isn't one specific photo that matters more than the others . I'll take hundreds....and you'll love them for different reasons!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

My style is very natural so I tend to attract clients who don't really give me specific shots to capture (aside from a small list of family pics). They know that they will receive lots of "original" photos because their wedding day will be unique and I'll be capturing candid moments. You can't fake that.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Embrace it! I've photographed many rainy day weddings and I can promise you that it doesn't spoil anything! If the rain comes, it usually clears up later in the day.... if it's set in all day, you will have a beautiful venue to explore for indoor portraits. Alternatively, a brolly can look great in your photos!

Describe how you got into photography.

I studied photography at Teesside Uni and CCAD after deciding that I would like to pursue my passion for photography (I used to be a chef)!
