What is your most memorable wedding?
This is so hard as every wedding I capture has a moment that sticks out to me, whether its getting ready with special friends, dad's seeing their daughters for the first time, the groom and his nerves as his bride walks down the aisle, tears, the buzz of laughter and happiness, quiet moments with the newlyweds, those intimate speeches and dancing the night away......
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Informal, Relaxed, Professional, Rustic, Intimate.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I have had the honour of capturing people's Special Day's for over 10 years and in that time I have captured weddings all over the world. I am so proud that couple's are still choosing me to spend this Amazing day with them and create ever lasting memories.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember it's your day - bring as much of your style and personalities into the planning as you can to make it as memorable as you possibly can.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I LOVE anything that has been handmade. Little gestures of thoughtfulness to those you love. One bride gave her dad a lovely embroidered handkerchief with a really gorgeous personal message which touched everyone when she gave it to him.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I usually meet up with potential clients at my house, their house or a convenient location. We run through their plans and what they want from their photographer. I have some beautiful albums which couples take their time to look through whilst I natter about how I work. If a couple decide to book with me I am always over the moon, we do a little bit of paperwork and then we talk about planning... some of my brides create a Pinterest board which enables us to share ideas of images the couple like and gives me a feel for their style. One month before the Big Day we get together to go through timings and group shots required and any other questions they may have. Then, I see them on the day, ready to make their day as awesome as I possibly can x
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A really natural shot of a lovely big kiss, cuddle and laugh.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellies and Umbrellas!
Describe how you got into photography.
My grandma always took photos where ever we went, we used to make fun of her (here she goes, camera is out again)! Little did I know back then that it was something that I actually LOVED! Looking back and being able to reminisce is one of the most amazing and heartfelt things we can do. So, when I decided that the office job I had was not for me, I got myself into Art College and from there I got a job with a wonderful Wedding Photographer before setting up my own business in 2007.
