Based in Farnham, Surrey, Matthew Lawrence Photography brings over 10 years of experience and a passion for storytelling to your wedding day. Having photographed more than 400 weddings, Matthew specialises in a natural, romantic, and fun documentary style that captures the real emotions and fleeting moments that make your celebration unique.
We know that not everyone loves being in front of the camera. That’s why Matthew focuses on creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where your genuine interactions shine through. From the quiet moments before the ceremony to the lively celebrations on the dance floor, he captures your day unobtrusively—so you can fully enjoy every moment, knowing your memories are being beautifully preserved.
With a keen eye for those special, unscripted moments—like a shared laugh or a meaningful glance—Matthew anticipates the perfect shots before they happen. While his style is mostly candid, he also offers gentle guidance for elegant portraits that feel natural and effortless. The result is a timeless collection of images that truly reflect your love story and the spirit of your wedding day.
Now that is a hard question, I have had the privelidge of capturing so many amazing weddings. I would say shooting some destinations in Barbados and Greece have been my favourites.
Creative, Fun, Relaxed, Beautiful, Artistic
The connection with my clients and memories I get to capture every wedding I attend.
Make sure every vendor has educated you enough, so you know exactly what to expect from them on the day.
I start your journey with a chat over zoom, a great way for us to meet and learn all about your plans. I keep things honest and open from the start. I will help you through the booking process and be by your side all the way through to delivery of your weddings images and beyond! A lot of the couples I have photographed over the years have gone on to be amazing friends!
One with parents, siblings and grand parents. People try to phase out group images but when people look back on your images, they will go straight to the groups not the portraits! Family is everything and I believe group images shouldn't be over looked.
Thats a hard one, I feel I get booked on the originality and style of my images and couples book me based on this. Every wedding in itself is original and unique.
Get your brolly its time to go have some fun!
I first started shooting in 2008 and fell in love with it instantly. I knew it was what I wanted to do for a career. I love connecting and working with people. Being a photographer allows me to capture that connection and is the reason why I love it so much! Before getting in to wedding photography I worked for some big brands over the years, Mclaren, Redbull, ITV, Nike etc. But it was weddings where I found my real passion for photography.
