One of my most memorable weddings was with a couple named Amelia and Rebecca at The Great Barn. The day was filled with raw emotion, deep connection, and so much laughter. It was one of those weddings where everything just flowed naturally from a quiet, teary moment during the ceremony to the loudest, happiest dance floor I’ve ever seen. What made it unforgettable wasn’t just the beautiful setting or the light (which was a dream!), but how present and connected the couple were to each other and their guests.
I remember standing in the middle of the crowd during the party, with bubbles floating through the air, arms around shoulders, everyone singing in unison – and thinking: this is exactly why I do what I do. It's those in-between, imperfectly perfect moments that tell the real story.
Authentic, Emotive, Storytelling, Natural, Timeless
I’m most proud of the genuine connection and trust I build with every couple. For me, it’s more than just taking beautiful photos, it’s about being someone they feel comfortable around, someone they can trust completely to capture the real emotions and moments of their day.
When couples tell me they felt relaxed, like they had a friend with them rather than a stranger with a camera, that means everything. That trust allows me to capture natural, intimate moments that truly reflect who they are and that’s what I’m most proud of.
Don’t get caught up trying to please everyone this day is about you two. Plan your wedding in a way that reflects who you are as a couple, not what others expect. The moments you’ll treasure most are the ones that feel real, relaxed, and true to you.
And a bonus tip from a photographer’s point of view: build a little breathing room into your timeline. Even 10–15 minutes of quiet time together (just you two) can make a huge difference and it’s often when we capture the most beautiful, emotional photos.
One of my favourites was a couple who wrote private letters to each other and read them quietly just before the ceremony not in front of everyone, just a private moment with one of them holding the letter, tearing up, smiling. It was incredibly emotional, and I felt honoured to capture it from a distance.
It reminded me that the most meaningful touches are often the simplest the ones that come straight from the heart. That moment didn’t cost a thing, but it meant everything.
Everything starts with a relaxed, no-pressure chat, either online or in person, where we get to know each other and talk about your wedding plans. I want to hear your story, what matters most to you, and how you want your day to feel. From there, I recommend a package that fits your needs, and if you decide to book, we secure the date with a signed agreement and deposit.
As your day gets closer, I stay in touch to help with timelines, advice, or anything else you need. I’m not just your photographer, I’m here to support you throughout. On the day itself, I work quietly in the background, capturing natural moments as they unfold, stepping in only when needed, like helping with group shots or finding the best light.
After the wedding, I send a sneak peek within 48 hours, and deliver your full gallery within 4 to 6 weeks. My goal is to make the whole process smooth, fun, and personal from start to finish, so you can relax and enjoy every moment.
The photo I believe every couple should have is a quiet, candid moment just between the two of them away from the crowd, where they can truly connect and be themselves. It’s not about the perfect pose or background; it’s about capturing the genuine emotion, the laughter, the little glances that show their love and excitement for their future together.
Those intimate, unscripted moments become timeless memories that couples cherish forever.
The most original photo I’ve been asked to take was when the couple wanted a creative shot with their dog wearing a little bow tie, sitting between them during the ceremony, surrounded by their closest friends and family, capturing not just the couple’s love but their whole little family in a fun and memorable way.
I recommend embracing the rain, using colorful umbrellas, finding covered spots with interesting light, capturing reflections on wet surfaces, and focusing on cozy, intimate moments between the couple, because sometimes rainy days create the most magical and unique photos.
I got into photography as a hobby 20 years ago, taking photos of street scenes, portraits, and fashion, experimenting with light and composition, learning from other photographers, and over the last 3 years, I’ve dived into weddings, discovering how powerful and meaningful it is to capture people’s most special moments.
