What is your most memorable wedding?
That's hard.. I love them all, the tipi one, the Swedish one, the minimalist London one, the one in Morocco, the one with rickshaws, the one with a subtle Dr who theme.. actually what stands out are the people, not the venue or the theme, but the personalities, fun, caring, so many lovely people.

That most of my clients are still in touch with me years later, they are not a number, I care about each of them.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
At the end of the day what really matters is getting married to the one you love, so breathe, and enjoy the journey to your wedding and your wedding itself, It will go very quickly so take time to connect together during the day and make the most of your guests.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Escaping to see the horses with the couple's toddler because mum felt he should be happy too.
Escaping to see a relative ill in bed at home.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We email, phone etc. I send quotes and a contract to book the date, we keep in touch and update details, I send a timing sheet and ask for more details nearer the time. I like to meet up but it's not always possible. Often we meet a the pre-wedding shoot. Then at the wedding. Everything can change on the day so I stay flexible and help where I can. The photos are ready in a few days usually, when the you're happy with them- you can request black and whites copies for example- you get your photos. You choose the ones for the album, I design it, you proof it, I send it to be printed, check it once it's done and get it to you asap. Usually we stay in touch- I have lost count of the babies born to my couples but it's over 20.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Have photos of the two of you, and photos of your nearest and dearest, as naturally and authentically as possible, you want to remember the moment and the people as they really are, not stiff and pretending.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The most original wedding was in Morocco with a whole night wedding outdoors, 4 sets of amazing outfits including gem-incrusted one, the bride being carried above the crowd and the groom on a horse, ending with the bride dancing in a rose petal-covered shallow pool
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Make the most of the venue inside, brave the rain, have white umbrellas, don't be scared to get wet, it makes great photos and fun memories, go barefoot, have wellies, enjoy.

I had published a book and was selling stock when a friend asked me to take some photos at his wedding, then told me he liked my photos better than his photographer's
