My most memorable wedding was from December 2023. I'd known the couple for at least 4 years at this point as I'd photographed the brides mums wedding and also done some other shoots for them before this. I think having known them for such a time really made it more emotional for me, but as well just knowing how much they truly loved one another and how it was so clear to everyone on the day how much their love would last a life time. On top of all of this the bride had so many special moments throughout the day, one being writing personalized letter for every guests to open before the wedding breakfast.
Fun, Colourful, Emotive, Documentary & Beautiful
I started my business completely on a whim, with family and friends saying I should give it a shot. All these years later I'm doing what I love full time and I honestly cannot believe that it's happened! I'm so proud for powering on through and getting to where I am today.
Enjoy it and make sure you start with plenty of time. Your wedding is one of the best days of your life, but unfortunately it flies by; therefore if you plan with plenty of time you have the chance to enjoy the lead up and not be so stressed.
Any time people do tributes to their passed loved ones. Sometimes they can be similar but you know it's so personal to the couple.
Once a couple get in touch and I respond to their first form of contact I always love to meet for a coffee. I honestly find this way we can really get a feel for one another. From there I can send you a quote with a contract for you to check over any other questions and if you're still happy you accept the quote, pay the deposit and sign the contract and you're officially all booked in! I like to keep it as simple as possible, but for you to make sure you're 100% certain and have all the questions answered that you may have.
During Covid one of my couples decided to have their masks on and put their ring finger up at the camera as a screw you to Covid.
Don't Panic!!! With living in the UK we have to deal with the chance of rain, so before the day when we catch up I always organise a location as a back up for photos if it rains, for both the group photos and the couple shots. This way if it does rain we're already prepped and not panicking as to where we can go. But if you're an absolute star and don't mind having an umbrella, you can always get some stunning and different shots in the rain!
As a child I was given a pink Barbie film camera and would frequently annoy my family going around taking the stupidest photos, but I really think this is where my interest for taking photos began. From then I attended my first wedding at the age of 9 and was obsessed with all things weddings! When we finally saw the photos I was so excited and started saying I wanted to be a wedding photographer and it never stopped! I took photography in A Levels and got my first DSLR camera and begun taking photos of my niece and nephew and it all went from there.
