Lucas was very professional and approachable from the time we had a first consultation with him and after looking through his online portfolio we knew he was the photographer for us. On our wedding day from the moment he arrived at my mum's house for bridal prep he was extremely polite and professional and all my family and bridal party commented on how lovely he was as he just seemed to blend in, wasn't bossy or too forward and kept the atmosphere very calm. Throughout the day various family members and friends also commented on his professionalism and how approachable he was and friendly to talk to. He also helped with an issue we had involving our Polaroid camera that was there for guests to use (and had been momentarily broken before Lucas helped fix it). Would definitely recommend Lucas as a photographer, made our day run just that bit smoother and kept the positive vibes flowing all day capturing any extra photographs we requested throughout the day and more! thank you Lucas! can't wait to see the rest of the photos !

After searching for hours for the perfect photographer, I found Lucas. Perfection. He is the friendliest, most professional, most talented photographer I have come across. As soon as I saw Lucas’ portfolio I knew he was the absolute only person that I could trust with recording our special day. Looking through his other weddings I could see the kind of day that my husband and I had always talked about: incredible warmth, and lots of fun and love just streaming out of every picture. I’m really self-conscious and usually hate having my photo taken so the idea of having to stand and pose filled me with absolute dread. Luc reassured me that we could do as much or as little of the “traditional” wedding photography as we were comfortable with, and that he and the second photographer (Chris Basford) would be to hand to capture the candid moment we might miss. When we spoke to Luc about the possibility of going down to London to do our engagement photos he was totally on board and couldn’t have been more accommodating, even when we merrily dragged him round the city for 8 miles in the height of summer, finding our favourite spots to photograph! The results were stunning - I was even more certain that we’d made the exact right decision booking him. On the day itself Lucas covered my bridal prep, but I really barely noticed him at all. On the odd occasion I would spot him in my peripheral vision he’d give me a big, friendly beaming smile that instantly put me at ease. The rest of my bridal party commented the same – in all the commotion Luc was the port in the storm, and managed to capture the beautiful moments that I didn’t even know were happening until I was looking back through the photos. During the ceremony and the reception I spotted Luc and Chris only once or twice, but they were so professional and respectful to our guests that that they were no fuss whatsoever – it honestly felt like they were a couple of our pals who just happened to be carrying cameras! They made people feel comfortable, and because of that were able to get exactly the kind of fun, natural pictures we wanted. The photos themselves were absolutely beautiful and couldn’t have told the story of the day any better. We created the day but Lucas captured it perfectly to create the memories, and we’ll be forever grateful. If I could give you than 5 stars I would! Thank you, Lucas. C & T x

We hired Lucas to capture the memories from our wedding. He made us feel comfortable and at ease all day and all our guests commented on his professionalism and friendliness. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Lucas was recommended and I'm so glad he was. Before shooting our day he shot my uncle and aunties wedding and we knew we'd made the right choice. Both he and Chris were so lovely and helpful on the day and the outcome was just perfect. I've recommended them to many others and now my sister in law is having Lucas capture her day too! Now that we have had time to reflect after what feels like an absolutely perfect day and incredible honeymoon, I feel it absolutely necessary to feedback about how incredible and perfect a photographer Lucas was. From our initial meeting, through our various shoots and discussions, right until the day itself, Lucas was an absolute gent and such a professional! He made both Anna and I feel completely comfortable in his presence, he was exceptionally patient and always knew exactly what we wanted. He is a magician with the camera and continually endeavours to get that right picture, clambering into every position needed to make 'that shot'. We cannot recommend him enough and I can personally assure you, you will not regret your decision picking him as your photographer. Thank you for everything Lucas! You're a gem!!

Lucas was a photographer at our friends wedding a few years ago. I remember seeing the photos and adoring them, some of me and my daughter and thinking i do not remember seeing him! Photo ninja! From this point i knew if i got married my mind was already set on his work. We later got engaged and immediately booked him. He then went on to photograph another 2 friends weddings so we got to see him alot! The day of our wedding Chris and Lucas were amazing. They were relaxed, approachable and did not feel in the way at all. Poor Lucas was stuck in a room all morning with us getting ready and we barely noticed he was there. I've also been told Chris was having a right laugh with the groomsmen whilst getting ready (Lucas got the short straw!lol). They stayed until near the end and captured all of the action. His style of photography is slightly different than I've seen before, so relaxed and capturing perfect moments. We love our photos! Thank you Lucas and Chris! Xxx

Choosing a wedding photographer is a tough decision. You can view a photographers website, and see some of the best photos that they have taken. But how do you know that you are choosing someone that will fulfil your expectations? We asked our friends for recommendations. Lucas' name not only came up a lot, but we also didn't hear a bad word about him. When we arranged to meet Lucas we were already confident that we had made a good decision, but we were even more impressed meeting him in person. He's a really nice guy, professional, and you can tell he has a passion for his craft. It was an absolute pleasure to have Lucas and Chris photograph our wedding day, and we are so pleased with our final photos. They captured the whole day beautifully. We would highly recommend Lucas Vale if you are looking for a photographer.
