We can't recommend Louie highly enough

From the moment we met Louie, at a wedding fair, we were captured by the candid nature of her wedding photos - a far cry from some of the overtly posed shots that we knew just wouldn't work for us as a couple. After chatting to her, we arranged a meeting to discuss packages - Louie offers a wide range of services to suit every couple and any budget. She also is so giving of her time and spends a little while getting to know you and what you are hoping to get from the day. There's also an opportunity to give her a list of "must have shots" - each of the ones I'd asked for were delivered beautifully and artistically on the day. Louie's attention to detail (along with her 2nd photographer - for us it was Andy) is second to none - my veil was never out of place. Seeing her sample albums at the meeting, confirmed that she was the photographer for us - especially Martin, who isn't the poser type and wanted more natural shots. On the day, Louie captured so much of it - actually making it so difficult for us to limit the number of shots for our album as there were so many great ones to choose from. She captured all the special and even intimate moments, without us feeling her constant presence (especially in the ceremony - you wouldn't have known she was as close as she was, so everything carried on as it should.) She also captured so many shots of the guests and had a wide variety of photographs for us to choose from. Our nieces and nephews were a huge part of our wedding and she managed to capture them getting ready and throughout the day, with us as a couple, highlighting just how much they mean to us. There were also opportunities to have some real fun - the couple shoot wasn't intrusive and gave me and Martin some much needed time away on the day to ourselves as newleyweds to really soak in what was happening, and Louie just shot around us. The confetti shot is also a favourite of mine, it captures so many of our wedding party just having so much fun! And you cans see so many personalities in one photo! (I definitely recommend a confetti canon) Aftercare - is also were Louie really excels. If you get a chance to go to her studio - do! You will get a real feel for the photographer that she is and the kind of photos she takes. After delivering a beautiful bespoke box, with some snaps and memories from our day and the USB with all our shots on it (which is such a beautiful keepsake), she went through sample colours for our album and began editing. She took her time with the editing process, after we had selected our favourite shots and edited minor details and tried different layouts until we were entirely happy - she was especially patient and the way that you can communicate with her online via the album and the editing process makes it so easy to understand and try layouts. (Thanks for being so patient with us Louie) We have a sky blue album (which will forever be our "Something Blue") that has a gorgeous finish and now has pride of place in our home, for any excuse when someone wants to see it! It perfectly captures our day and just how special it was for us. Every part of the process with Louie has been a pleasure and I doubt that there are many photographers that would give such time and attention to their clients before, during and after their big day. We can't recommend Louie highly enough for her services and would happily recommend her to friends/family and use her other photography services again. Lots of love, Martin and Kathryn xxx

Her shots are candid and show true emotion

Louie and Charlotte photographed our wedding at Clock Barn, Hampshire last weekend (30.03.19) and they were both absolutely incredible. From the minute I met Louie at a wedding fayre, I knew she was the photographer for us as so many of her shots are candid and show true emotion. Her and Charlotte joined the bridesmaids, my mum and I on the morning of the wedding and we had so much fun! They made me feel so relaxed and allowed us to carry on as normal, taking photos as they went. During the rest of the day, they were so friendly to us and all our guests (many of whom fell a bit in love with Charlotte!!) and we had many people telling us after how lovely they were. When taking pictures, we were all laughing and chatting which just adds to the day. The photos we have recevied so far are just soooo stunning and are a true reflection of all the happiness and events we experienced. I was worried about having my photo taken as I have a couple more chins than I should, however I love Louie's photos and will treasure them always, we both will. Thank you soooo much. Memories are a wonderful thing...

Memories are a wonderful thing that we can treasure forever, we can relive moments whenever and wherever we want, having beautiful photographs that match those memories is not an easy task! Being able to capture a look or a smile, a touch or a laugh I’m sure takes years of practice. This is exactly what Louie did. We now have stunning pictures that match our memories of the most perfect day. I look at our photos every day with a huge smile. Thank you Louie for everything, from your quick correspondence, to blending into the background on our big day and taking our lovely pictures, you did a fabulous job and we are very grateful. We would recommend you any day! Xxx

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, artistic, romantic, light, fun

What about your business are you most proud of?

I think its the personal touch we give, we really get involved in your day, we have friends not clients.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be organised! Lists are a wonderful thing....

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Origami place settings which served as a favour too, one of the guests was very talented and must have spent hours making them.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After initial contact my couples will book a meeting, they can pop round to the studio and I will show them albums and chat about their big day over a cuppa. They will choose a package and fill out forms etc and once deposit is paid the date is theirs! Then a few months before their day, if they have an engagement shoot booked in we will arrange a date to do that. A month before the wedding I ask for a questionnaire to be filled out so I can organise the days photography.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A photo with your Parents.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A photo of the Bride and Groom with the best man.......he was a dog!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I would say if you have a good photographer they will suggest a nice area inside for photos, or they will weather watch and step outside in-between showers, rain doesn't have to ruin your day, its also a good omen for your Wedding day!

Describe how you got into photography.

It all started at school, I was 16 into fine art painting, all my paintings started with a photograph. As part of my studies I bought an SLR camera and we were taught how to develop our film and print the photos, I loved the whole process. I lived in the country so I used to take myself off and little shoots with myself when I needed to amuse myself!
