From the moment we met Louie, at a wedding fair, we were captured by the candid nature of her wedding photos - a far cry from some of the overtly posed shots that we knew just wouldn't work for us as a couple. After chatting to her, we arranged a meeting to discuss packages - Louie offers a wide range of services to suit every couple and any budget. She also is so giving of her time and spends a little while getting to know you and what you are hoping to get from the day. There's also an opportunity to give her a list of "must have shots" - each of the ones I'd asked for were delivered beautifully and artistically on the day. Louie's attention to detail (along with her 2nd photographer - for us it was Andy) is second to none - my veil was never out of place. Seeing her sample albums at the meeting, confirmed that she was the photographer for us - especially Martin, who isn't the poser type and wanted more natural shots. On the day, Louie captured so much of it - actually making it so difficult for us to limit the number of shots for our album as there were so many great ones to choose from. She captured all the special and even intimate moments, without us feeling her constant presence (especially in the ceremony - you wouldn't have known she was as close as she was, so everything carried on as it should.) She also captured so many shots of the guests and had a wide variety of photographs for us to choose from. Our nieces and nephews were a huge part of our wedding and she managed to capture them getting ready and throughout the day, with us as a couple, highlighting just how much they mean to us. There were also opportunities to have some real fun - the couple shoot wasn't intrusive and gave me and Martin some much needed time away on the day to ourselves as newleyweds to really soak in what was happening, and Louie just shot around us. The confetti shot is also a favourite of mine, it captures so many of our wedding party just having so much fun! And you cans see so many personalities in one photo! (I definitely recommend a confetti canon) Aftercare - is also were Louie really excels. If you get a chance to go to her studio - do! You will get a real feel for the photographer that she is and the kind of photos she takes. After delivering a beautiful bespoke box, with some snaps and memories from our day and the USB with all our shots on it (which is such a beautiful keepsake), she went through sample colours for our album and began editing. She took her time with the editing process, after we had selected our favourite shots and edited minor details and tried different layouts until we were entirely happy - she was especially patient and the way that you can communicate with her online via the album and the editing process makes it so easy to understand and try layouts. (Thanks for being so patient with us Louie) We have a sky blue album (which will forever be our "Something Blue") that has a gorgeous finish and now has pride of place in our home, for any excuse when someone wants to see it! It perfectly captures our day and just how special it was for us. Every part of the process with Louie has been a pleasure and I doubt that there are many photographers that would give such time and attention to their clients before, during and after their big day. We can't recommend Louie highly enough for her services and would happily recommend her to friends/family and use her other photography services again. Lots of love, Martin and Kathryn xxx
