Lorna really excels at picking out the details

In our initial discussion Lorna listened to what we wanted and made some good suggestions to help us decide what would work best. We're not very comfortable posing in front of a camera and we were keen to get naturalistic photos which wouldn’t take too much time out of the day. Lorna did this brilliantly, she is very unobtrusive and alive to the moment. Lorna really excels at picking out the details, catching fun memorable moments and capturing the feel of the day. Thanks Lorna!

Lorna is superb at what she does

Lorna was absolutely amazing. Everything from our first meeting up to the very day Lorna was incredibly helpful and professional at all times. We got our final pictures 2 weeks earlier than expected and they are phenomenal. Lorna is superb at what she does and I would highly recommend Lorna to anyone and everyone! Thank you so much Lorna.

Our photos are absolutely stunning

Lorna was an amazing photographer for our wedding. Always keeping in contact with us before & after the wedding. She made sure everything was perfect beforehand so there was no stress and we felt relaxed in knowing we could enjoy our special day. Lorna made us feel super comfortable during our personal shoot, there was no awkwardness at all. Our photos are absolutely stunning. Very natural and perfect in every single way. Highly recommended*****

Lorna made us feel at ease with her caring nature

From the first contact, Lorna made us feel at ease with her caring nature. Neither my husband or I enjoy having our photo taken but Lorna helped us to relax in front of the camera resulting in some beautiful photos. Lorna responded to any queries quickly in the run up to the wedding and was always on hand to help on the day, feeling more like a friend with a camera than a photographer. Thank you for helping us have our perfect day and creating incredible photos we will always cherish!

We just wanted to say thank you so much for our wedding photos, they’re really wonderful and they capture what was a truly happy day so so well, you can really see how relaxed everyone was and how enjoyable it was! Looking through the photos takes me right back to being in that moment and we’d love to go back and do it all again tomorrow if we could! Thank you so much, we really appreciate it!

wonderful photos – we can't thank you enough

Lorna was a fantastic photographer for our wedding. We had a lovely engagement shoot with her to settle in & she was so friendly, making us instantly feel very relaxed about the shoot. On our wedding day she caught some wonderful photos, was very organised & communicative, gave us some fab tips & saved the day with my veil when the weather proved to be a *bit* windier than planned. Thank you so much Lorna, we can't thank you enough & will highly recommend you to everyone we know!

A joy to work with

My wife and I booked Lorna for our wedding in August 2021 and it was an excellent decision! From the first virtual meeting through to the engagement shoot and wedding itself, Lorna was a joy to work with. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera but Lorna made us feel so at ease. On the wedding day she was brilliant, very calm and friendly, blending into the background so that we hardly noticed she was there. The full gallery of photos came through much quicker than expected and we are so pleased with them! Lorna captured all of the important moments brilliantly and so many other little ones that we would never have seen otherwise. We couldn't recommend Lorna highly enough.

She completely understood our vision

Lorna was excellent at communicating with us throughout the process and we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. She is very organised and put our minds at rest. She did a great job of taking photos unobtrusively and also getting good shots of nice little moments we would have otherwise missed. She completely understood our vision for a very relaxed and chilled-out day. Lots of guests were impressed by her friendly and professional approach. Her follow-up communications and service have been great. Thank you Lorna!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I think every wedding is special and unique in it's own way, but if I had to pick one, I think it would have to be an intimate wedding in Venice – it was just so relaxed and oh so romantic!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, natural, authentic, heartfelt and beautiful

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Start planning early to avoid that last minute stress, and if all doesn't go quite to plan on the day, go with the flow – most important is that you enjoy your special day being with the people you love the most.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Mini cactus wedding favours – they were just so cute, and I loved the idea that all the guests would have a living keepsake to take home with them.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I get it – choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision. So I always suggest first meeting up for a cuppa and a chat about your wedding plans to see if we click. This is also the best time for you to ask any questions, to see a sample album and discuss which of my wedding packages fits your needs best. This conversation can also happen via FaceTime or Skype – whatever is easiest for you. For more information about my approach, the booking process, wedding coverage and packages available, please get in touch and I will send you my brochure.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I think every couple should schedule at least 30 minutes for shots of just the 2 of them. This is partly to give you time to relax into the shoot making for the best photos, but often this is the only time on your wedding day that you get time to yourselves. It's a really precious time.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

If you're getting married in Britain, then the chance of rain on your wedding day is pretty high, whatever the time of year. However, it's very rare it will rain all day long, so it will likely just mean that photo timings may need to change slightly, and when there's a break in the rain, we make a sudden dash for it. Failing that, there are usually doorways and other undercover areas that can be used instead. Mostly I find that with umbrellas and the right attitude you can still get some beautifully atmospheric and moody shots. Clear umbrellas are often very handy to have, and the bridal party may want to have a pair of wellies at the ready just in case, as well as towels to put down to avoid the worst of the puddles. Often wedding venues are well prepared for rainy days with umbrellas etc, but it's always a question worth asking when you visit them.

Describe how you got into photography.

My love for photography really goes hand in hand with my love for travel. I used to travel alone quite a lot for work, which gave me the perfect opportunity to go out and explore and lose myself in a city with my trusty camera in hand. Then in 2015 I got the chance to live in Vienna and work with a portrait photographer for a year. It was a wonderful experience, and while studio portrait photography wasn't quite my cuppa tea, it made me realise that I wanted to take my photography further. I truly got the wedding photography bug after photographing a few friend's weddings and I haven't looked back since!
