My most memorable wedding was not something that most of the photographers would say it was. In fact, it might have been the humblest wedding I had the privilege to attend, it was a young couple with an extremely limited budget, so their friends organized the whole celebration for them. They were the cooks, the waiters, the DJ. Knowing about the situation, I adapted my own fees in order to be able to give them the memorable day they were looking for, and it was one of the most satisfying feelings I’ve ever had as a wedding photographer.
Personal, Creative, Detailed, Passionate and Friendly
The dedication I put into every step of the way.
Enjoy! Try not to focus on the complications or the things that can go wrong. This is YOUR day, trust your suppliers, trust your guests, and enjoy the rest!
A couple hired me to cover just the wedding day, and as we built a very nice photographer/customer relationship, I gifted them a pre-wedding photoshoot. The day of the wedding I approached the favours table to do the decoration photos I always do, and instead of the favours I was told they would have, they changed them for little prints of one of the photos we did on that session.
The first thing to do is have a meeting to go over your thoughts and ideas for your day. Based on how you describe your wedding day and yourselves, I come up with a customized service with a list of different items and we go over them one by one explaining what they mean and what the end product is meant to be. Once we've come to a package you are happy with, we will go over styles, must-haves, family members and guests you want me to focus on.
After that meeting I will get to work researching the venue, time frames and specifications that could influence my work and be prepared for any kind of situation so you don't have to worry about it. It doesn't matter how far in advance we have our first meeting, I will always be available for another meeting, phone call, videocall or any kind of contact you want to have to clear all of your concerns to the best of my abilities.
The day of the wedding I will be there way before our time schedule says I need to be, just in case you need any last moment requests, and I will stay a bit longer than what I'm supposed to be sure I didn't miss anything at all. Everything in between will be just joy and fun as you go through your day without even noticing my presence, unless you need me for anything of course.
After that day, we will be in touch at any moment. Normally the first delivery of photos will be within a week of the event day so I can send you a link in which you will be able to see your photos already edited. If you want to do any last minute add-ons to your package, you can at any moment.
Once I have delivered the final product in any way it was requested, I will still be available for anything you need in the future!
Every couple is different, every relationship has it's own story. Compressing that story into one photo is something that happens, you can't pose it. So there is A photo that will be THE photo, but I can't tell you what it is until I've taken it
It was a star wars fans couple and they were just fooling around with some sticks in the garden while waiting for the guests to come into the venue before de reception. Whilst they were playing around, I took that photo and retouched it into a Star Wars fight scene for them without them asking me to. They absolutely loved it!
If you know there is the slightest chance of rain, have a backup plan for every moment of the wedding. Even if it means cancelling any part of the wedding itself, rain can be fun, but will be totally stressful if you were not prepared for it.
I was in the movie industry university, and while studying for movie director I came across photography as a subject. It was instant love and I changed my university career right there and then.
