What is your most memorable wedding?
We don't really have one that stands out. Every wedding is different - and each one is special for different reasons. We take it as a huge honour to be invited to play a role in every wedding we do, and no matter whether it is big or small, crazy or formal, in a church or in a tent - every wedding is special and memorable to us.

What about your business are you most proud of?
The idea that our photos will be treasured and cherished for generations to come. The knowledge that some day, perhaps long after we're gone ourselves, that our photos could be dug out of a cupboard by someone who hasn't even been born yet - and they can use those photos to experience the joys and emotions on a very special day - a time long before they were born. Not many people get to do that, that's why we think being a wedding photographer is a real privilege.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
We've written about this on our website blog - perhaps visit and check it out! :-)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The moments that happen when people don't think that anyone is watching. Gestures are fabulous, but the small interactions between people on a wedding day can be truly magical.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We offer a bespoke service - so we come from a place of listening first and foremost, we don't dictate anything. We're not a "conveyor-belt" wedding photographer, one that does multiple weddings a week, follows the same process for every single one, gets someone else to do their curation and editing, etc. We take the time to meet and chat with the couple in advance, find out everything about them, what their plans are for the day, etc. If they have any ideas of their own, we love that. We can offer input and develop them into something truly special. We'll chat about locations, the people who are attending, how they want the day to go. Before the wedding day itself, we may do a scouting run, where we check out light, locations, and concepts. When the day comes, we'll be there bright and early, ready to capture those magical moments from start to finish.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Again, we love the genuine, unscripted moments that inevitably occur throughout every wedding day. Relax, enjoy yourself, immerse yourself in the day and we guarantee that there will be tons of magical photos to capture.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
We visited the home of a couple before their wedding day, to have a chat about plans for the day itself. We got chatting to the groom's father, and we mentioned an old disused mill that we had noticed on the journey to the house. It turned out that a dear family member had worked in the old mill, many years ago. We then scouted the location and ended up stopping there for photos after the wedding ceremony. It was an amazing location for photos, but the added family dimension made it truly special.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Everyone hopes for a good weather for a wedding, but from a selfish photographer's point of view, awful weather conditions can make for amazing photos!! A rainy shot, backlit at night - instant keeper! Just embrace it for what it is - have an umbrella handy, and trust us - it will be fun!
Describe how you got into photography.
I've studied film and photography to degree level - I've been passionate about the art of photography for as long as I can remember. After my degree, I taught photography for many years. Then I was approached by a friend who just asked me to cover their wedding day. I was nervous, but I'm delighted I did it. The photos turned out amazingly well, and I absolutely adored the entire day. Since then I have dedicated myself to improving my wedding-specific photography skills, to the point where I know now that I am among the best in the business. But I still approach every wedding exactly like that first one I did - full of enthusiasm, dedication, and understanding the privileged role I have been offered, and the trust that the couple has put in me. I put my all into every wedding that I do, and I endeavour to deliver that which drives me most - creating photos that will be cherished forever.
