Message from the team

Name of Wedding Contact: Lee Gaughan Brown
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read through our profile. You have a difficult task choosing the right person to capture your wedding and hopefully I can help make that choice a little easier for you. Please take a look at my portfolio of images, as you will see, I don't adhere to the 'Signature style' school of photography as I believe a good photographer can achieve any look. So no matter which style you wish to have in your images we will have a lot of fun together creating them. Lee.

FAQs

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Enjoyable, Friendly, Approachable, Professional, Dependable

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

When you think you have finished your timing schedule for the day go back and add 15 minutes to everything. In over 120 weddings I have never attended one that ran on time - expect delays, plan for them, then there will be no reason to worry about them or the consequences when they happen.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A Groom wearing a bespoke Chelsea FC waist coat, the front matched the wedding suit, the whole back piece was the Chelsea logo. His wife had no idea until he revealed it during the Grooms Speech.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Meet up and get to know each other, have a fun pre-wedding/engagement shoot, build confidence in them and with them to ensure the wedding day is equally as fun. Be a part of the wedding day without being obtrusive, be happy, approachable and always professional. Provide them with wonderful images post engagement and wedding shoots, make available teaser images quickly then present them with the complete set. Help where necessary in choosing images for, and the style of, the album. Present the newlyweds with a beautiful handcrafted Italian album that is an heirloom they can love for years to come.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

There isn't 'one photo' that every couple should take as they (the couple) are all unique, the trick is to understand the couple, discover what they love and create imagery that they will cherish forever.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Because of the fun we have during the pre-wedding shoot my couples vary rarely ask for anything specific as they are confident that I will create something they will love.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Lots of umbrellas and wellington boots. You can get some wonderful creative stylised images with accessories, especially in the evenings when its getting darker and you add some creative lighting. A rainy day Doesn't mean ruined wedding pictures.

Describe how you got into photography.

I fell in love with Photography when I was just 17, but hated being in the Dark Room (yes, I'm older than I look!) so chose to be a graphic designer for a number of years. Although I still took photos I sent them off to be developed rather than do it myself, that was, until the advent of Digital Cameras. However, I never ever wanted to be a Wedding Photographer (Personally I can't stand most of them - too many reasons to list but pretentious, egotistical, overbearing and definitely over-priced! were the main ones) until my wife made me change my mind. So after a few years of being a Wedding Videographer we expanded the company and I got back to doing what I love the most. And I have to say, it's the best decision my wife's ever made for me ;)
