What is your most memorable wedding?
The first wedding I ever shot will always be my most memorable! This was the launch pad to my career and my business and was just an extremely special day for me.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Natural, Artist, True to life, Fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
I started this business when I was just 17 years old with nothing but my camera and passion. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am today and I'm extremely proud of my self for starting so young and building a successful business.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Know where to spend your money! I would always say to invest your budget into the venue, good music, food and photography (of course I am biased on the last one) These things are absolutely the main players into making sure you have your dream day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One that really stands out to me, I was photographing a bridal party getting ready and suddenly there was a knock on the door and a staff member comes in with a hamper for the bride. Turns out the groom had written a series of letters and gifts for his soon to be wife describing how much he loves her and why he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his live with her. It was one of the most touching moments I have had the privilege of seeing.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always aim to make the process of booking and run up to the wedding as easy as possible for a couple, I do so by being as attentive and available to my couples as I possibly can be.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I cannot express enough how important it is to find a spare 30 minutes to an hour in your wedding day to go off and have some private, intimate couple photos done. These images are what will make your wedding photos and most likely the ones you will want the most!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I once had a bride ask me to photograph her little mermaid knickers that she was wearing as her wedding underwear for the day! She just lifted up her skirt, pointed at her knickers and asked for the picture! It was a very funny moment and a great picture!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I absolutely always have clear umbrellas in my car encase rain does make an appearance. This means that we can always go out to the grounds of your venue and take those gorgeous photos that you've dreaming of! Using clear umbrellas also allows for some pretty unique images that more couples wouldn't have from their wedding day.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have loved photography ever since I was a young girl. The second I was old enough to hold a camera you wouldn't catch me with out one! From their my love for the craft has only grown more and more until it eventually became my career!
