Describe how you got into photography.
I’ve been taking pictures since the age of 11, when my father gave me his old Voigtlander 35mm camera. From that moment I was hooked!
I studied art and photography in Liverpool obtaining a BA Honours. This gave me good foundations. It taught me that good images depend on the right light, composition, timing and creativity. After college I went to work as a junior photographer for the magazine Motor sport and the Newspaper, Motoring news. From there I worked as a photographer on the cruise ships for a number of years before setting up my own photography business in 1999.
