When it comes to your wedding day, capturing the real, unscripted moments is what truly matters. Kelly Tawse Photography, based in the charming coastal town of Weymouth, Dorset, specializes in telling your unique love story through beautiful, candid images. Kelly’s passion lies in documenting the genuine emotions and fleeting connections that make your celebration one-of-a-kind.
If you prefer natural, relaxed photos over posed shots, Kelly’s documentary style is designed just for you. She focuses on the raw, heartfelt moments that reflect the true spirit of your day. With her experience working with neurodivergent individuals, Kelly creates a calm and comfortable environment, helping everyone feel at ease and enjoy the day with less stress.
Kelly’s approach is simple: she tells the story of your wedding as it naturally unfolds. From the quiet excitement while getting ready to the lively celebrations on the dance floor, she captures the moments that matter most.
While she avoids stiff, traditional posing, Kelly may use gentle, fun prompts to encourage natural movement and genuine emotion. The result? Authentic, artistic photos that you’ll treasure forever.
Based in Dorset, Kelly is happy to travel to nearby counties including Hampshire, Wiltshire, Devon, and Somerset to be part of your wedding day.

I usually shoot smaller weddings but this one had 300 plus people, 3 bands and a dancing badger doing a conga line! One of the guests stripped down to his pants to reveal a tiny green frog tattoo on his tummy- it was epic!
candid, fun, relaxed, real, natural
I am a family support worker by day and created my business to be inclusive for everyone. Being a demand free photographer means I am not adding to my bride/grooms stress on the day. I try my hardest to fit in so everyone feels relaxed around me and always have guests asking to do shots at the bar or to stay longer to party with everyone.
Be true to who you are. If you want a small wedding do it. Want a large wedding do it. Just do not do it for anyone else but yourselves; it is your day afterall!
A bride hand drew portraits of each guest for their favours- I loved this!
I meet virtually to get to know each other. If I feel we are a good fit I send a contract out which is valid for 48 hours. Upon booking I am on hand to help in what ever way I can. Around 4 weeks before the wedding I send a time line guide, wedding guide and a questionnaire and arrange to meet up at the venue to run through the day.
A photo with key family members -Mum/Dad/Grandparents. Although I am documentary I still think these group shots are so important.
Hmm, most of my photography is candid, but one photo I was asked to take was a tattoo of the groom's name on his friends bum!
Go with it. You can't change it. Embrace it dance in the rain towards the end of your day, invest in umbrellas, just enjoy it- a wet not is harder to untie...
After the birth of my daughter in 2009 I started to take photos and invested in some camera gear. It quickly became apparent that she is autistic and ADHD and hated any for of posed photos so candid was my best friend. When I got married candid photography didnt exsist so I I create this so everyone can have beautiful photos of their day!
