What is your most memorable wedding?
Wentworth House in Rotherham. Amazing couple, beautiful building and tons of history!!!!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Funny (as they get the best smiles back and breaks tensions), approachable, creative, flexible, determined and an eye for details :)
What about your business are you most proud of?
I have built my business both with my camera work and with my personality and warmth. Being able to work with so many types of personality to get the best from them is what I'm proud of :)
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask as many questions as possible!!!!!!! there are far too many people who think Weddings are easy money. They want to make a quick few quid and dont care that it's the Biggest day of your lives. Ask as many questions as possible. If you dont understand the answer, then get them to clarify it. Dont let them bamboozle you. Always go with a Professional for all your Wedding bits, Cake, Flowers, Car, Suits etc
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Custom made cuff links that had photo's of the Groom's Mum and the baby they lost in them. Truly beautiful and had SO much meaning to them both.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I have the initial meeting with you both, from there assuming you book. I get the paperwork sorted and start getting to know you both through different conversations. Then we arrange meetings and Pre Wedding shoot and Wedding Walk Throughs. I go out of my way to make sure you're both as relaxed with me as possible so you can focus entirely on your day :)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
"Every couple should take" so that ISNT taken by your photographer. Its got to be the Mr & Mrs Selfie lol Get the Wedding rings in there and the dress and the suit and go for it lol
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Of of the couple's I did a Wedding for, the Groom was a competition cyclist so I arranged with the Bride's consent for the group he rides with to ride past the Bride and Groom and do their own version of the Confetti throw. It looked fantastic and really made their day and was a total surprise for the Groom!!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
You can't help the weather, so grab so your Wellies and an Brolly and make the most of it. Its not perfect but they do make for great photo's and most of all dont let it ruin your day. You can always put your shoes on in the church :)
Describe how you got into photography.
Apprentice trained and fell in love with Weddings from there. We all know how they go. They get ready, get married and have a dance in the evening. But its all the excitement and nerves and little moments of magic that make each Wedding special :)
