Karen Berry Photography Full Description
I offer wedding photography across the North West of England. Although I generally offer 2 packages (half day or full day), I will often tailor a package to suit specific requirements. You may only require a photographer for the ceremony and family and couple portraits afterwards. I am just as happy to do that for you as I am to photograph you from your preparations right through to your first dance. The choice is yours. I have photographed many weddings ranging from small, intimate affairs, through to larger events. No matter what the size of your wedding my approach is always the same. I want you to feel relaxed in front of the camera, then it will show in the results. Whether you prefer a more candid, documentary approach to your day, or more formal portraits and group photos, or a mixture of the two, I will ensure we always have fun. I am a bubbly, happy go lucky person, and I just love my job! So if you would like a chat about your special day, do get in touch. Because I'd love to talk.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, relaxed, professional, organised , enjoyable.

What about your business are you most proud of?

My customer service. Before starting my business I worked in customer based roles, and I like to bring all I learnt to my business. I like to get to know my couples and see what makes them tick. I'm still in touch with many of my previous couples via social media, and that's just the way I like it!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make time for your photos. Factor it into your day when arranging dining, etc. It may seem obvious but many forget.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The groomsmen at a recent wedding put together a slide show (with a projector and everything!) of photos of themselves and the Groom, over the years. On a day that is typically mostly about the bride, I thought this was a lovely touch, and it brought much laughter to the occasion (as well as much embarrassment!).

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We have an initial meeting where we get to chat. And another meeting at the venue a few weeks before the big day if feasible. In between I like to keep in touch where possible, and am always available if my couples have any questions that might pop up. Communication is key.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I believe every couple should make time for some couple portraits - even if it's just 15 minutes or so. You'll be glad you did.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wellies and my bridal brolly! But if you really don't want to brave the rain, I will always have a plan B for indoor photos.

Describe how you got into photography.

For years photography was my hobby. When I was made redundant I decided to try and make a go of it as a career. And the rest, as they say, is history.
