My approach to wedding photography is a mixture of editorial and documentary meaning that I like to help my couples by directing them into looking their absolute best whilst looking natural and most importantly like themselves. Having said that I also like to shoot most parts of the wedding day in a subtle, unobtrusive and journalistic manner whilst still creating intimate and emotive imagery.
Being Danish by birth I have a classic and clean Scandinavian influence with an ethereal and feminine feel. Being Danish I also believe in the concept of ‘hygge’ (pronounced ‘hoogah’), which I try to incorporate in every aspect of my business; the act of creating a cosy and friendly experience for my couples and doing what I can to make sure their experience everything they wanted and more.
My background in finance has led me to appreciate the act of under-promising and over-delivering, in excellent, timely and respectful customer service but also above all else; kindess and gratitude for my brides and groom who entrust me with their future and precious memories.
I believe my couples deserve the very best on their wedding day...I never forget that out of all the photographers out there my couples choose me to immortalise their most life changing milestone. That is still incredibly humbling to me so when I shoot a wedding I shoot it like I would for my very best friend, I get to know my couples so that I know what matters to them, I know the long hours and the care that went into every detail…as time goes by, and memories fade, these photographs will be what remains to remind them of the day when everything changed. I am a wedding photographer because I believe that what I do is a worthwhile use of my life. I sleep soundly at night knowing that what I create lives on through generations…becomes precious family heirlooms…they wont remember my name and that doesn’t matter to me. Something I created will be cherished long after I’m gone…and that, for me is enough.
