FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Easy - Jamaica! I was there for a week child free just reading books by the sea enjoying some much needed R&R and then finished off the week shooting a beautiful wedding right on the beach. A very close second is a wedding shot in Malaga, Spain which had a boho theme with pampas grass and macrame everywhere.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, fun, emotive, documentary, in the thick of the action

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

When you find the supplier you want, don't wait around because someone else will snap them up! And get a cheese board - don't forget that.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

My favourite personal touch is a couple completely shaking up the speeches. Instead of people sat in their seats, everyone was gathered outside where people hugged, cried and laughed with each other while listening to each speech. You don't see that when everyone is sat down so it was really lovely to witness.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

It's super straight forward and simple. We decide we're a good fit for each other, y'know, I think 'woah, this wedding a fricking amazing' and you think 'yeah, she's great' where you'll then complete the online contract, pay the 20% booking fee and then it's done - you're booked and I'm officially your wedding photographer - how exciting! About 6 weeks before the wedding, we'll arrange to meet, phone, Skype, send smoke signals to go over all the details and timings of your big day. Come wedding day, I'll arrive about 2.5 hours before the ceremony to capture those getting ready shots and leave after the first dance (after I get a shot of everyones crazy drunk dance moves obviously).

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The one that you won't like but your parents and grandparents will. Y'know, the one where you just stand together smiling at the camera. My couples are usually big on no posing but this one is always goes down a treat.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

This is a tough one! After so many weddings, I've definitely seen a lot of original ideas get repeated. Oh no wait, there was a photo op with a goat at a military wedding. It wore a little hat and everything. Hello Shenkin!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wellies, umbrellas and a sense of humour and maybe a goat.

Describe how you got into photography.

I can't remember ever not having a camera. Even when I was little I was pretending on an old one that didn't work but then I joined the Army instead of pursuing it. It wasn't until I left after the birth of my son that I took it up and I'm so glad I did.
