What is your most memorable wedding?
Honestly, I've done so many weddings and been so lucky to have worked with such lovely people that I really couldn't possibly single out a single wedding, and neither would I want to!
This might sound a bit cheesy but all the weddings that I've been asked to photograph have been a genuine joy and a privilege. I feel a real friendship with couples and their guests which makes it all go so smoothly.

Discreet, enjoyable, natural, high-quality
What about your business are you most proud of?
The empathy and connection that I can make with couples as a result of experience, putting them completely at ease in front of the camera. I love to produce a set of natural photographs that truly reflects the joy and the buzz of the day. My past experience in the professional photographic laboratory plays a very large part in the quality of the processing.
On the day I wear a suit or similar in order not to separate myself from the wedding party and guests and I take photographs "from within" rather than just as a supplier.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't get stressed. Make it "you".
Find suppliers and venue that you really get along with, enjoy the whole planning process and it will all come together. A good venue and good suppliers will look after you through every part of the planning.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It all starts with the engagement shoot, which is included in the full package. This is such a good way of us getting to know each other so that you won't be met by a stranger on the day. It particularly helps those who are quite camera-shy as it's so enjoyable to have beautiful photographs taken by a kind and caring photographer who has real empathy.
On the day you are met with a friendly, smiley face who is really happy to be with you through the day. The photography becomes a really enjoyable part of the day, and it really shows in the photographs.
Describe how you got into photography and your experience.
I represent the fourth generation of photographers in my family who have been in photography in Sheffield since 1870.
My entire career has been in photography and in photographic processing and printing. I have worked in photographic processing, travel and commercial photography but it's wedding photography that I have specialised in. I have photographed something like 500 weddings.
