Joanne Westlake Photography Full Description
It is always an honour to be the photographer at a wedding, so as a documentary photographer I want to capture your day as it unfolds. You'll find my approach to be relaxed, fun warm and friendly. I love mingling with your guests, feeding on that good wedding vibe and I’m always on the lookout for the next authentic shot. Prior to your big day I’ll meet with you, we’ll discuss all the lovely details you have spent so much time planning and you can tell me your story. For me that initial meeting is so important as I want to be able to connect with you both and understand the meaning of your day to you, that connection will enable me to capture perfect authentic unposed moments of your special day. My aim will be to capture every special moment, even ones you may not have noticed, so that you are left with true and faithful memories of your happy day and ones that reflect you as a couple.

Describe how you got into photography.

My father is a landscape photographer now living in Spain. Growing up I remember fondly my dad always with a camera in hand, those were the days of film photography. Later as I became an adult my career initially was very different but 5 years ago I got seriously back into photography and decided to change career paths. Life is far to short to do something you hate and so now I’m loving my creative life. Everyday is varied and I love how my office changes daily.
