Jessica Bevan Photography Full Description
Based in Sussex, I live with my Fiancé and my fur-princess named Tala ( our rescue cat from Cyprus), you’ll often see her featured on my social media as my fellow work colleague. Investing in your photographer for the day is hugely important and one you want to get right, so it’s only fair that I share more about me and how we could be a great match! I am a natural light photographer with a documentary edge. I love to capture depth, emotion, fun and those natural candid moments between you as a couple and all of your guests. My aim is to create a visual storybook of your special day whilst giving you stress-free and fun experience. I am a pretty laid back girl, so you’ll get no drama from me! Having a degree in Fashion Photography, I believe this has helped me develop a contemporary style and have an eye for detail. I wouldn’t say I am formal wedding photographer, I thrive with creative, and chilled out couples that just want to have fun and are happy to go along with ideas on the day. From me you will get no awkward static poses, serious faces or unnecessary harsh camera flashes because well that is my worst nightmare! My aim is always for couples to feel comfortable with my presence on the day. I like to think of myself as just another one of your friends who is there to document your day, make guests feel comfortable and take some awesome shots of you of course! I will always be a help in hand in any situation to ensure that your day runs smoothly and that you have the best day ever. A lot of people will think it is cliché to say ‘“I love my job” but I honestly do. I am a sucker for romance, lots of foliage, authentic details and travel, so this combined with my passion for photography makes wedding photography the perfect role for me.

Perfection

Jess has been an absolute dream to work with over the last couple of years, we were meant to get married last year and she was so caring, helpful and understanding with all of the postponements during covid! We currently only have our previews back but my word, I’m already obsessed!! Couldn’t have wished for anyone else to capture our day!!

A lovely, talented photographer who knows how to capture the real essence of a wedding

Jess had photographed a wedding at a venue recently and we were so impressed with her photographs that we asked her to take some of the venue for us. She is fabulous with light and both the wedding and the venue photographs are stunning. Highly recommend this young and talented photographer

Brilliant photographer

We met Jess through a couple who got married at our wedding venue. She has such a different style of photography, Jess makes photos look exactly how you see things in real life. We had Jess back to photograph our Autumn look for the venue, she got exactly the photos we asked for and we absolutely love them. We can't wait to have her back again!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

All of them are fabulous and unique in their own way.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Modern, Relaxed, Boho luxe, Documentary

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy every single second, you'll miss it when it's all over. And don't stress over the little things!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

When Bride and Grooms secretly have surprises for each other. Always makes my heart melt!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

When I get an enquiry, I will confirm whether I am available for their date and then send through my digital pricing guide along with other info. I offer to meet with couples before confirmed booking if they are local - I understand finding the right photographer is key. Once my couple have confirmed I send out my digital new client guide and remain in touch with couples via email and phone until our pre wedding consultation or engagement shoot. We then keep in contact and inform one another of any updated details I should know right up until the big day. I try and keep couples calm and comfortable on the day, I don't hog them or force anything upon them, I just love watching them enjoy their day! A small preview album is then sent to the couple up to 1 week after the wedding and then final images are usually delivered to my couples within 6-8 weeks.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A celebratory group photo whether that is confetti or sparklers. Plus an awesome newly Mr & Mrs portrait which you can announce the world you are now married!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

A venue with more than one room (Always important when looking at your venue). Umbrellas, Boots and a quirky jacket to make the most of your photos!

Describe how you got into photography.

Through education and working in the Industry
