I’m here to take the photographs you want. My aim is to depict your love, your friends, your family, the details – all the moments and ingredients of the biggest day in your life. Here’s how:
Planning the wedding photographs
The first step is a no-obligation meeting so you can be reassured about how I work. I highly recommend it – after all, although you will not notice me, we will be together for most of the wedding day.
You will be assured that you will be booking a professional, expert and discreet photographer who will blend into your day, and cause no disruption, yet is fully able to marshal guests and family efficiently for any formal shots.
You can describe the photos you have in mind and we can discuss them so we are all clear about what you are going to get.
Pre-wedding or engagement shoot
A pre-wedding shoot is included in the price and is a vital part of our service. For many couples, this becomes a free bonus engagement shoot! It’s fun and relaxed but it has an important purpose. It allows you to learn to be the best model so we know how to capture your best shots, in the way that suits you, without it being a distraction on the day.
Location visit
Whether I have worked in a venue previously or not I always make this location visit sometime during the week prior to the wedding date - at the correct time of day.
The wedding day
I want to tell the whole story of the day, so my team and I are usually at work an hour or so before the ceremony. We stay as long as you want, generally to the first dance.
The pictures
I start work on the photographs the very next day. It’s important that its essence is fresh in my mind and also makes sure you will get the photographs quickly. I will choose the best of the 1,500 or so images, and edited them down to a manageable level for the uninitiated picture editor – ie you. You will be presented with pick of the very best and I will then help guide you so you you can swiftly decide on the final selection.
