That's a tough one! Each wedding I photograph is unique and memorable in its own right.
Relaxed, fun, unobtrusive, candid & natural
Cheesy I know, but being able to do what I love!
Don't sweat the small stuff! Once the big day is here just enjoy it. Trust me it goes by SO fast and you don't want to be hung up on the small things.
Charity pins for the wedding favours. It's a lovely personal touch and you'll be donating money to a great cause plus your guests will wear them with pride.
Once initial contact has been made, I like to arrange a meeting in person so that we can get to know each other and I can hear all about the amazing plans for the big day! I also suggest a visit to the venue with the couple about a month before the wedding so we can recap and chose some lovely spots for the photos. This really saves time on the day and helps me to visualise everything much better.
This is a difficult one to answer! Different photos are important to different people... I do thinks it's important to have group photos taken with certain family members and friends and also some time for just the two of you to have some shots, everything else will be captured as the day goes on.
Grabbing an umbrella! I always come prepared with a load of big white golfing umbrellas, just in case... We can't let the rain spoil it now can we! Lots of venues will have amazing spaces inside too for photos, and again this is another reason why its so important to take a visit to the venue beforehand.
Growing up I was always fascinated by my dad and grandad's cameras and on occasions I would get to use them! I studied photography at A level, where we used manual film cameras and developed everything ourselves in the darkroom. From here I went on to study for an Art Foundation, specialising in media and then for a BA Honours degree in Fashion Promotion and Imaging, where I specialised in Fashion photography. Whilst studying I worked with a photographer and was taken to second shoot my first wedding and this is where I got hooked! The rest, as they say, is history!
