FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

we did a wedding very recently where the couple didn't want any group shots at all and had allowed 2 hours in a beautiful setting for pictures of just the 2 of them. That was my favourite wedding of all as we had no time pressures and could be as creative as we liked - any other photographers will understand why this was memorable!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, fun, classically creative

What about your business are you most proud of?

Gaining my licentiate qualification and winning cosmopolitan magazines wedding photographer of the year

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

dont stress, keep it simple and enjoy your day!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

wellies personally designed by the bride for each guest for a woodland wedding

Describe your typical process with a couple.

we meet for a chat initially and discuss requirements, then once they've booked we have a pre wedding meeting a month before the date and the a phone conversation 2 weeks before. Couples can of course contact me anytime with any questions or for advice on timings etc.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

all couples are different but when they walk down the aisle and see each other for the first time, thats when they all have the same look in their eyes!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

In the sea with surf boards - me too!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wellies and a brolly!

Describe how you got into photography.

I was on my own with a 2 year old and claiming benefits so I went to night school, trained in photography for 3 years, then when she started school I did portraits in my garage. I did my first wedding for a friend and bookings came thick and fast. I qualified with my LBIPP in 2007 and bought my own high street studio where I specialise in newborn and family photography. I became Cosmo bride magazines wedding photographer of the year and had a profile feature in devon life magazine. Oh, and I'm not on benefits anymore!
