A wedding photographer is the one person that you are going to spend a massive chunk of one of the most important days of your life with. It’s one of the biggest decisions to make and not something you want to get wrong. James photographed our wedding 03/11/19. We invited him to our house to meet him and he brought along some albums for us to preview his work and show us what he was capable of. He was very friendly, polite, and answered any questions that we had, even the silly ones!! He really knows his stuff, we were impressed. As soon as the front door closed behind him and he set off home, we messaged him saying that we wanted to go ahead and book him!! He kept in contact with us all through the run up to the big day, and became more of a friend giving us hints and tips on how we can make the most of the service he was providing. On the big day he turned up on time (early, infact) with his assistant who was just as lovely as James. He made 2 people that are usually very awkward infront of the camera feel so comfortable and it just felt natural. We have received our pictures and we love EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. It’s going to be so hard to pick our favourites for the album that we have ordered through him as we love them all. We have loved looking through them because most of the time we didn’t even realise he was there, sharing that special moment with us, taking some unbelievable pictures. Everyone has commented on how our pictures are not like anything they have seen before, they are very unique, creative and they show our personality perfectly. Which is one of the reasons we went for James as he was up for trying anything and everything, whilst guiding us to get the best outcome. Thank you James for everything you have done. We will see you again when we next need any kind of photo shoot, and will 100% recommend you to everyone we know. They’d be crazy not to have you.

James photographed our wedding and we are delighted with the outcome. Very friendly guy, good comms in booking process, gave us some good hints and tips in the engagement shoot which helped us on the day be more relaxed. Fantastic photographs from the day – there are photographs from every angle of the ceremony – but we never even noticed him at the time showing his quality in quietly going about his work and not distracting from the occasion. James had some great ideas as well for some more fun shoots and are so grateful for his work.

James was professional and accommodating from the get go. He communicated promptly and we managed to see his portfolio and secure our date with speed and ease. Communication in advance of the day was excellent and James scouted out the venue in advance to ensure the day was perfect. He stayed late to get as many photo ops as possible. We received edited pictures quickly after the day and loved them. Our albumn is also beautifully crafted.

James shows passion and enthusiasm for photography and takes pride in his work which is exactly what we wanted when picking a wedding photographer – someone that loved what they do. On the big day, he took some incredible shots which really captured the feel of the day. More than that, he made having the photos taken relaxed and fun. We got to play with smoke grenades and champagne, which created some unique and beautiful shots that gave the wow factor. James did the photography for our wedding in April. Me & my husband absolutely love the photos, they are fantastic! James has a true talent and a keen eye for photography. On the day James was friendly and managed to blend in with the guests and captured natural and beautiful photos. James also did some brilliant photos in the evening with smoke bombs, champagne, and sparklers – the photos really were lovely and they really capture how special our day was!

“James photographed our wedding in December 2017 at Wivenhoe House Hotel. We live abroad and were not able to visit our venue or meet James prior to the day but we spoke on the phone and he talked us through his experience and how the day would run, and even went to see the venue himself. On the day he and Lucy were very professional, blending in with the celebrations and taking lots of natural shots as we had requested, plus some more formal couple and family photos. He had lots of good ideas for photo locations around the venue, and had the idea to use smoke bombs to capture some really unique photos in the dark outside. We primarily had an engagement photo shoot, which enabled us to become more comfortable in front of the camera and get to know James (and his lovely assistant, Lucy), before the wedding day. This was a really good option for us as neither of us are naturals in front of the camera and we were a bit daunted by the thought of being photographed professionally!
